    • A mountable circuit breaker is disclosed. The circuit breaker includes a housing having first and second housing members (HOb) and a latch member (120). The housing defines a rail receptacle for mounting the circuit breaker on an elongated channel rail (140). The latch member (120) includes a base portion (121) that includes a movably positionable retainer (122) that moves toward or away from a biased position that is established by a stem portion (124) of the latch member (120). Movement away from the biased position expands the rail receptacle for mounting the circuit breaker to the rail channel (140) when an external force is applied to a tool receptacle (125) adjacent the junction of the base and stem portions (121, 124) of the latch member (120). Removing the external force results in the base portion (121) returning to its biased position, securing the circuit breaker to the channel rail (140).

    • An electrically driven device with a soft start includes an electric motor, a motor driven element operatively connected to the motor, and a power switch. A time delay relay (200) is electrically connected to the motor and the power switch. The time delay relay (200) is configured to provide a mechanically controlled time delay to soft start the motor. The time delay relay (200) includes a coil (202) having a longitudinal axis therethrough, and an armature (204) proximate an end of the coil (202) that is movable between energized and de-energized positions. A tube (230) is positioned within the coil (202) and has a longitudinal axis that is substantially coincident with the axis of the coil (202). A metallic core disposed within the tube (230) is movable along the axis of the tube (230) in response to a magnetic field in the coil (202) to induce movement of the armature (204) to the energized position after a time delay. The time delay is mechanically determined and substantially corresponds to an in-rush current time for the motor.
