    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the starting performance of an internal combustion engine by accurately regulating the amount of the injection fuel in an early stage in starting the internal combustion engine using liquefied gas as the fuel.
      SOLUTION: The liquefied gas fuel is stored in the fuel supply piping between an upstream-side fuel cutoff valve and a downstream-side fuel cutoff valve in a state of pressurized fluid when an engine is stopped (S140-S170). Whereby bubbles are not generated in a storage part during the stop of the engine. Accordingly a time for compressing and liquefying the bubbles is omitted with respect to the fuel in the storage part, when the fuel is pressurized by a fuel pump in starting the engine, and the injectable fuel pressure is quickly applied to the liquefied fuel. Further, as the liquefied gas fuel in a state of the pressured liquid is supplied from the storage part to a delivery pipe side in starting, the regulation of the amount by the fuel injection valve is accurately performed from the early stage in starting, whereby the starting performance of the engine is improved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine, suitably and compatibly serving vapor removal from a fuel injection mechanism and temperature rise suppression of a fuel in a tank while suppressing the enlargement of the device scale to the utmost.
      SOLUTION: The fuel supply device comprises a main circulation passage Rd2 for circulating the fuel forcibly fed by the fuel tank 31 via the fuel injection mechanism 34 to the fuel tank 31 and a bypass Rd4 for circulating it from the upstream side of the fuel injection mechanism 34 to the fuel tank 31. The main circulation passage Rd2 contains a high pressure regulator 36 for keeping fuel pressure in the fuel injection mechanism 34 at a first pressure regulating set value and a communication control valve 37. On the other hand, the bypass Rd4 contains a low pressure regulator for keeping the fuel pressure in the fuel injection mechanism 34 at a second pressure regulating set value lower than the first pressure regulating set value and a bypass control valve 40. A fuel circulation mode of the fuel supply device 3 is changed over through the opening/closing operation of the control valves 37, 40.
