SOLUTION: When a passage point P and a destination D are designated, a control device searches a route reaching the destination D via the passage point P from a starting place S so as to be evaluated and computed, and it sets a prescribed destination route R1 so as to be emphasized and displayed on a display device by using a dark blue thick line. When information on the generation of a traffic obstacle such as a traffic jam or the like in the destination route R1 is obtained from a VICS or the like, the contorl device searches and sets a new destination route R2 which bypasses a place in which the traffic obstacle is generated, and it is displayed on the display device together with the old destination route R1 up to that time. At this time, the new destination route R2 is displayed by using the deep blue thick line, and the old destination route R1 is displayed by using a light blue thick line. Since the destination route R1 and the destination route R2 which are old and new are displayed simultaneously in different shapes in this manner, the difference between both can be recognized clearly.

      SOLUTION: When a passing point and a destination are assigned, a controller searches the route from a start point S to the destination D through the passing point P, and sets the prescribed destination route R1 by evaluation calculation to be emphasis-displayed with a deep blue thick line. When information of generating traffic disturbance such as congestion in the destination route R1 is acquired from a VICS or the like, the controller searches and sets a new destination route R2 capable of bypassing a traffic disturbance generation place to be displayed on a display together with the old destination route R1. The new destination route R2 is displayed therein with the deep blue thick line, and the old destination route R1 is displayed therein with the pale blue thick line. The difference between the new and old destination routes R1, R2 is clearly recognized, because the both are displayed by a different modes at the same time.

If broadcasted, the result of detection is reported to the user.
