    • PURPOSE:To freely change the mixing and compounding ratio between dissimilar materials, by constituting a thermal spraying wire of a stranded wire consisting of >=3 pieces of hollow wire and also by filling respective hollow parts of one of more pieces of the hollow wire with a wire dissimilar to the hollow wire. CONSTITUTION:For example, a thermal spraying wire 1 is formed as a stranded wire by using three pieces of hollow copper wire 2, e.g., of pure copper having about 3.2mm outside diameter and about 2.4mm inside diameter and four pieces of copper - stainless steel wire 4 prepared by filling the hollow part of the above copper wire 2 with stainless steel wire 3, e.g., SUS316 by JIS. When this thermal spraying wire 1 is thermally sprayed on the surface of a steel sheet 5 as a base material, e.g., JIS-S45C, by an arc thermal spraying method, a mixed and compounded thermally sprayed layer in which respective thermally sprayed and laminated grains 3a and 2a of the stainless steel wire 3 and the copper wire 2 are laminated in the ratio of 1 to 3 can be formed. Accordingly, by changing respective numbers of the stainless steel wire 3 and the copper wire 2, the mixing and compounding ratio between both can be changed.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of building up alloy and its cost used for forming a uniform deposition bead by making building up rotating the building up alloy bar clockwise around the axis to the direction of advance of a molten pool. CONSTITUTION:The building up alloy bar 7 is rotated clockwise to the direction of advance of the molten pool 6. Thereby, the the molten pool 6 is faced to backside 4 having large heat capacity. Accordingly, overflow of molten building up alloy to margin 3 side is reduced, and at the same time, the molten pool 6 flows in a fixed direction and a regular deposition bead is formed. Consequently, dispersion of the deposition bead 6 is reduced, and feeding of the building up alloy bar 7 is confined to a minimum.
