    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quick warm-up device capable of achieving warm-up at the time of start in a short time in a simple constitution without requiring large-scale change or preheating or the like of a system.
      SOLUTION: In this quick warm-up device, gears 1 and 2 are provided between a main body P1 of a water pump P provided in a circulation passage L for engine cooling water and a water pump pulley P2. Force from an oil pressure converter 6 is not applied to the gear 2 at the time of start when advance timing oil pressure from an OCV introduced to the oil pressure converter 6 is equal to retard timing oil pressure. Engagement between the gears 1 and 2 is disengaged by spring force of a spring member 5, and the water pump main body P1 is not rotated, so that circulation of cooling water is stopped to prevent an engine E from being excessively cooled. After warm-up, when the advance timing oil pressure from the OCV becomes larger than the retard timing oil pressure, the gears 1 and 2 are engaged with each other by the oil pressure converter 6, so that normal engine cooling action can be conducted.
