摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the synchronization of a roller die so as to provide good form rolling for an article to be machined by providing a torque control means for equalizing one torque to another by comparing the detection results of both torque detecting means with each other. SOLUTION: Each torque is calculated based on the torque signals of first and second torque sensors 58 and 59. If a difference is positive, since the torque of a first constant velocity joint 53 for transmitting a driving force to a first roller die 32 is large, an instruction for adjusting the torque transmission factor of a first variable clutch 52s is outputted to the drive circuit of the first variable clutch 52s so as to equalize one torque to another. If a difference is negative, since the torque of a second constant velocity joint 56 is large, an instruction for adjusting the torque transmission factor of a second variable clutch 55s is outputted to the drive circuit of the second variable clutch 55s so as to equalize one torque to another.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable roll forming with high precision by applying to the surface of a die a lubricant selected in accordance with the temperature of the surface of the die. SOLUTION: Hot or warm roll forming is performed by a roller die 1. The surface temperature of the roller die (roll forming die) 11 is measured by a radiation thermometer during roll forming. In accordance with that surface temperature, a lubricant is applied to the surface of the die 1 from an injecting nozzle 6 using a controller 3 and a control unit 4. At least one kind of lubricant is selected from the lubricants A, B, C inside plural tanks 5a-5c and sent to the injecting nozzle 6 through a stop valve. The lubricants to be used are water- soluble type with a solid lubricant such as graphite particles or BN fine particles dispersed in a solvent like water, emulsion type with an oil solvent partially mixed, or these types with an addition of alcohols. Thus, a stable lubricating effect is obtained.

At the time of engaging the recessed part 30d of a knob 30e in the tool 20 with a claw member 13, lock of the tool 20 is secured. Then, the phase of the roller dies 31 is decided to the tool spindle 11 by the action of a key 17 set in both of the keyway 30c of the tool 30 and the keyway 11b of the tool spindle 11 and also, torque from a driving shaft 10 is transferred to a die arbor 30 and the roller dies 31 through the key 17. In such a way, the tool 20 at the left side is rotatably arranged on the bearing base 8. As the same way, a tool at the right side is rotatably arranged on the other side bearing base.

SOLUTION: After forming a thermal-sprayed layer 3 by thermal spraying a metallic material on the inside face 2 of a bore of a block base body 1 of a cylinder block made of light alloy, a sliding face 4 is made by honing the surface of the thermal-sprayed layer 3. By adjusting the honing condition and the thermal spraying condition, a pit area rate Sp of the sliding face 4 is kept within the range of 5-14%, and surface roughness [Rk+Rpk] expressed by the sum of effective load roughness Rk and an initial wear height Rpk is made 0.9μm or lower. By keeping the pit area rate Sp within the range of 5-14%, oil maintaining capacity becomes sufficient and scuffing resistance is improved. By making the surface roughness [Rk+Rpk] 0.9μm or lower, the value of the coefficient of friction is sufficiently low, and fuel economy is improved.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the precision of a form-rolled gear by performing a hot generating form-rolling process by using roller-dies and a warm finish form- rolling process by using finish roller-dies in this order. SOLUTION: A blank 7 is held with a first blank holding part 11. A second motor 22 is driven, and the blank 7 is arranged in a high frequency induction heating coil 28 and rotated in this circumferential direction to induction-heat the outer peripheral part with the high frequency induction heating coil 28. The blank 7 is carried further in the arrow mark Y1 direction with the second motor 22 and arranged to a working position R1. The first and the second roller-dies 32, 42 are pushed while mutually synchronizing to the outer peripheral part of the blank 7. By this method, suitable pieces of tooth parts are generated with the hot generating form-rolling. After completing the hot generating form- rolling, the blank 7 is arranged to a finish working position R2 and the rotated first and second finish roller-dies 31, 43 are pushed while mutually synchronizing to the blank 7. By this method, the tooth part of the blank 7 is finish-form-rolled in the warm temp. range.

摘要： PURPOSE:To economically manufacture a parts having high strength and high precision by heating a medium or high carbon steel blank, austenizing, plastic- working, reheating at just above the austenizing temp. after once cooling, quenching and tempering it. CONSTITUTION:The blank composed of the medium or high carbon steel is heated and austenized. This blank is subjected to plastic working at least in the warm temp. zone and precisely formed to a desired shape of the parts having matrix structure accomulating plastic strain. Successively, this worked blank is cooled to the pearlite transformation temp. or lower to precipitate carbide. Thereafter, this blank is preheated to the austenizing temp. or lower to remove the residual working strain and also, adjusted to the structure being apt to be austenized. This preheating is desirable to execute at 550-720 deg.C for 5sec-3min. Successively, the preheated blank is immediately cooled after rapidly heating to just above the austenizing temp. By this method, the contour quenching to only the surface along the contour of the blank is executed and further, the tempering treatment is executed to improve the toughness.

An intermediate sizing operation A2 is carried out by making the penetration rate of a roll-forming die significantly small or substantially zero in the midway position of the full depth of penetration S of the form-rolling die. Thereafter, a second stage penetrating operation A3 is carried out, after which the form-rolling die penetrates into the outer peripheral side of the workpiece and then the finish sizing A4 is carried out.
