SOLUTION: A plating bath consisting of a soln. containing iron ion and urea is used to form an iron plating film containing 0.02 to 0.5wt.% nitrogen on the surface of a body comprising aluminum or aluminum alloy by an electric reducing method. By incorporating nitrogen into the iron plating film, the nitrogen-contg. film acts as an alkali against the acid which is in contact with the film or intrudes into the film and the film neutralizes the acid. Thus, the corrosion resistance, especially acid resistance can be improved.
