摘要： PURPOSE:To maintain an electric resistance between terminal boards to an almost constant level and maintain a specified amt. of hydrogen to be generated without increasing the electric power consumption by having metallic electrodes carried on a pair of current collectors. CONSTITUTION:The metallic electrodes 13 are joined by mechanical press fixing force to both surfaces of an ion exchange resin membrane 11. A cathode terminal board 14 and an anode terminal board 15 assure the volume of an electrolytic cell chamber 16 by a spacer 17 and are inserted and held to bolts 18. The metallic electrodes 13 are carried by a pair of the current collectors 12 by this constitution. Since the joining attained is between the same kinds, peeling does not arise in spite of freezing and vibrating. Then, the metallic electrodes 13 and the ion exchange resin membrane 11 are maintained at almost the same electric resistance from the start of use. The electric resistance between the metallic electrodes 13 and a pair of the current collectors 12 is kept small. As a result, the specified electric resistance is maintained between the cathode terminal board 14 and the anode terminal board 15 and the specified current relating to a hydrogen generation reaction is maintained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a hydrogen gas storage device which is advantageous in preventing hydrogen gas from leaking from a gas discharging port on a bottom of a hydrogen tank. CONSTITUTION:A hydrogen gas storage device has a hydrogen tank 1 provided with a seal-in chamber 10 in which hydrogen gas is sealed, water W stored in a bottom portion of the seal-in chamber 10 to cover a gas discharging port 11, a solenoid valve 72 which opens and closes the gas discharging port 11, a vapor-liquid separator 3 which separates the hydrogen gas in the mixture is separated from water, a combustion system for combusting the separated hydrogen gas in an exhaust pipe 8, and a hydrogen generator 5 which generates the hydrogen gas. When the water in the seal-in chamber 10 shows a specified level, the hydrogen generator 5 is operated according to a signal from a level switch 60 for generating the hydrogen gas. The resultant hydrogen gas is fed into the seal-in chamber 10.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the cumulus of deposits by reducing the temperature of the injection port of a fuel injection valve lower than the specified distillation temperature of fuel, and make a deposit precursor flow out and from the injection port by ejection flow of fuel, and eliminating the deposit precursor, while holding the deposit precursor in fuel in a liquid phase condition. SOLUTION: In a deposit reducing type fuel injection valve 1, the temperature of the injection port 3 of a fuel injection valve 1 is reduced lower than a temperature which distillates from fuel for 90%, and a cooling water passage 5 is arranged on the top end part of the fuel injection valve 1 so as to cool the top end part of the fuel injection valve 1 positively. A deposit precursor included in fuel is dispersed and held in a liquid phase condition, it is prevented adhesion between the inner surface of the injection port 3 and the precursor from applying thereon so as to suppress the cumulus of deposits on the inner surface of the injection port 3, and also the precursor dispersed in fuel flows out from the injection port 3 together with in distillation fuel having fluid performance when fuel is injected.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of variation in the engine output torque unexpected by a driver by executing the regenerative operation of a NOx absorbent. CONSTITUTION:A NOx absorbent unit 5 and a NOx selective reducing catalyst unit 6 are arranged from upstream in the exhaust passage 3 of an internal combustion engine 1 in which lean air-fuel ratio operation is carried out. An engine control unit (ECU) 20 calculates the amount of NOx absorption inside the NOx absorbent unit 5 on the basis of the engine load conditions, and when the amount of NOx absorption exceeds a prescribed value, a reducing agent is supplied to the NOx selective reducing catalyst unit 6 through a reducing- agent supply device 11. Even if the amount of NOx absorption of the NOx absorbent increases and the absorbing chpacity is reduced, the NOx in the exhausst flowing downstream is reduced and purified by the NOx selective reducing catalyst unit, so that the need for regenerating the NOx absorbent by changing over the engine air-fuel ratio to rich at intervals of a prescribed time can be dispensed with, and the occurrence of an unexpected torque shock can be prevented.

In the afterburner 18, hydrocarbon in exhaust gas is certainly burnt and oxidized by the positive burning of the low boiling point constituent diluted to a nearly theoretical air-fuel ratio by secondary air from the secondary air line 42, and exhaust gas purifying performance is enhanced.

Further, the hydrogen gas passes the labyrinth passage. Even if the water comes in the labyrinth passage, the possibility that water passes through the labyrinth is low.
