    • An automatic sliding door apparatus (10) has a speed-change detecting element for detecting a change in the driving speed of a slide motor (34) above a predetermined value as well as a pressure sensitive sensor disposed in a front end portion of a door panel (14), and the detecting of a foreign object is effected by the pressure sensitive sensor in regions other than a region in which the door panel slides at a fixed speed. Accordingly, the detecting of a foreign object is made possible in a region where the detecting of a foreign object is difficult in the detection of a change in speed by the speed-change detecting element. Moreover, since the detecting of a foreign object based on a change in speed is not effected in the regions other than the region in which the door panel slides at the fixed speed, it is possible to set to a higher level a reference value in speed change of the speed-change detecting element which determines that the door panel (14) has received a reaction force of pressing from a foreign object in the region where the door panel moves at the fixed speed. The sensitivity can also be enhanced as a result.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve low output of a drive part in a door moving mechanism and immediate stopping of a glide door when an object is caught in.SOLUTION: A closing lock mechanism used in this glide door closing structure of vehicle includes:an engaged part 31 mounted on supports on both sides of front and rear of an entrance; engagement parts 33 mounted on the front and rear of a glide door; and a rotating mechanism rotating the engagement part 33 between a lock position engaging with the engaged part 31 and an unlock position. When the glide door is at an entrance position, the rotating mechanism rotates the engagement part 33 from the unlock position to the lock position and the engagement part 33 is engaged with the engaged part 31, so that the glide door is pressed against a peripheral edge of the entrance, weather strip is elastically deformed, and the entrance is closed in a seal state.
