摘要： PURPOSE:To muffle air discharge sound without increasing intake pressure loss in the intake system of an engine with an intake compression device. CONSTITUTION:When a throttle valve 44 is suddenly closed during the operation of a turbocharger 14, an air by-pass valve 48 is opened, so that compressed intake air between the turbocharger 14 and the throttle valve 44 passes a communicating hose 46 and is discharged into an intake pipe 34 through an expansion chamber 30. The generation of turbo surge pressure is thereby prevented. The compressed intake air entering the expansion chamber 30 from the communicating hose 46 through a neck port 31 is expanded in the expansion chamber 30 and the pressure is lowered. The intake air lowered in pressure in the expansion chamber 30 is throttled at the time of passing a small hole 35 and being discharged into the intake pipe 34, so that the discharge quantity is damped, and air discharge sound is reduced. The expansion chamber 30 has a silencing effect on intake noise generated from the intake pulsation of an engine 10.

摘要： PURPOSE:To assemble two housings free to assemble and disassemble without danger of deforming a seal member in a defective state of a sealing property. CONSTITUTION:A hinge device 24 is constituted by providing a bearing part in a case 14 and a shaft function part 68 on a cap 20. The bearing part is supported by a projected part 65, a guide part 57, a back wall 59 and a separation limit specifying part 60 free to separate the shaft function part 68 and to rotate it. A guide part 96 and a specifying part 92 are provided in the neighbourhood of a clamp device 26. In the state where the specifying part 92 is supported by the guide part 96 and the shaft function part 68 by the guide part 57 respectively, most of a seal surface 98 is maintained in the state separated from a seal member 40, and the shaft function part 68 and the projected part 65 are interferred with each other before the outer peripheral edge of the seal surface 98 is interferred with the seal member 40 and deforms it. Without avoiding these interference, it is impossible to carry out assembly, and accordingly, generation of seal defect is necessarily avoided.

For example, a part of the air hose is formed into an enlarged chamber 12 and a PCM housing chamber 14 is formed adjacent to a side wall 24 of the enlarged chamber.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device for an internal combustion engine provided with an air cleaner, having a compact shape, and capable of accomplishing its primary function. SOLUTION: This intake device for an internal combustion engine has an air duct 4 for inhaling the air, and the air cleaner 6 mounted on the downstream side of the air duct and provided with a filter 32 for removing dust from the intake air. The air cleaner 6 has an upstream side chamber part 24 and a downstream side chamber 30 respectively disposed by being horizontally displaced, and the whole shape thereof is almost flatly formed in the horizontal direction. The upstream side chamber part forms a first space part 22 for expanding the air inhaled from the air duct, and the downstream side chamber forms a second space 28 for horizontally disposing the filter at its bottom position. The first space communicates with the second space through a communication part 26. The communication part is formed in a shape corresponding to the bottom shape of the second space so that the intake air from the upstream side chamber part should uniformly be passed to the filter. The upstream side chamber part can be removed by bordering the filter.
