    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily separate magnesium hydroxide by adding seed crystals and returning a part of gypsum dihydrate generated by double decomposition reaction to a double decomposition tank to also make the crystals of gypsum grown on the surfaces of seed crystals columnar. SOLUTION: This double decomposition reaction apparatus consists of a double decomposition tank, a pump P1 circulating gypsum dihydrate and a mixing grinder 2. An aq. soln. based on magnesium sulfate is supplied to the double decomposition tank 1 from piping L1 and a calcium hydroxide slurry is supplied thereto from piping L2 to convert magnesium sulfate to gypsum dihydrate and magnesium hydroxide under stirring by double decomposition reaction. Since the formed slurry is sedimented to the bottom part of the tank 1 but crystals of magnesium hydroxide is extremely fine as compared with gypsum dihydrate, magnesium hydroxide is sedimented to the upper part relatively while gypsum dihydrate is sedimented to the lower part. A part of the mixed slurry is returned to the double decomposition tank 1 through the mixing stirrer 2 and the remainder thereof is separated. Or, 20-80wt.% of separated gypsum dihydrate is returned to the tank 1 as seed crystals.

    • PURPOSE:To realize efficient gasification by converting fuel material into gas containing hydrogen to be refined until it sustanitially becomes hydrogen gas, and distributing this hydrogen gas to many fuel cells and supplying as much power as necessary corresponding to a power demand by use of the distributed hydrogen as fuel. CONSTITUTION:Fuel material 1 of natural gas, gas such as naphtha, etc., or liquid hydrocarbon, liquid alcohol, etc., converted into gas containing hydrogen 50 by means of a quality changer 7 to be refined by a refiner 9 until it substantially becomes hydrogen has, and this hydrogen gas is distributed to many fuel cells 21 installed far away from the quality changer 7 through a piping 15 or stored in this piping. Each fuel cell 21 is operated as much as necessary corresponding to a power demand by use of the distributed hydrogen gas fuel so that power is supplied. Thereby, it is possible to efficiently follow up s load fluctuation of power demand and display the efficiency of a gasification to a maximum.

SOLUTION: The treated soln. returned to a desulfurizing column 1 and an oxidizing tank 3 from a double decomposition tank 4 is a mixed slurry of magnesium hydroxide and gypsum dihydrate but magnesium hydroxide in the treated soln. from a desulfurizing process is consumed as a desulfurizing agent and a hydrogen chloride removing agent. If the operation condition of the desulfurizing column 1 is held to concn. equal to or less than the solubility of formed magnesium sulfite, the suspended substance in the treated soln. of the desulfurizing process becomes only gypsum dihydrate. Since magnesium hydroxide contained in the treated soln. of the oxidizing process and returned from a double decomposition tank 4 is consumed as a nuturalizing agent of sulfuric acid formed by oxidation to be converted to magnesium sulfate, the suspended substance in the treatment soln. of the oxidizing process is only gypsum dihydrate. Therefore, gypsum is easily separated from these treated solns.

    • PURPOSE:To improve heat exchange efficiency by using the modifying pipes provided to the inner and outer pipes of the cylindrical double pipe of a catalytic reaction apparatus as heat transfer means and constituting a radiant heat transfer space surrounded by a heat equalizing plate so as to surround the modifying pipes and demarcated at the upper end thereof by an air permeable plate. CONSTITUTION:In the catalytic reaction apparatus provided in a heating tank 100, the modifying pipes provided to the necessary parts of the inner pipe 11 and/or outer pipe 9 of the cylindrical double pipe of the catalytic reaction apparatus are used as heat recovery means, especially, the heat transfer means 19, 31 such as corrugated plate fin heat exchangers effective for increasing a heat transfer area. The radiant heat transfer space held between heat equalizing plates 270 so as to surround the modifying pipes and demarcated at the upper end thereof by an air permeable plate 27 and a heat source gas spray means 50 spraying high temp. heat source gas to the heat equalizing plates 270 from below to above is provided. By this simple constitution, the efficiency of heat exchange is improved and an apparatus is made small as a whole even if the capacity of the apparatus becomes large.
