    • In the continuous rolling mills, the strip crown and the strip flatness of a strip (8) can be controlled to any desired value. In the strip crown measuring method, the strip crown of the first stage rolling mill can be obtained by adding the set target strip crown value and a value obtained by multiplying the deviation in mechanical strip crown between the predicted value and the actually measured value by a imprinting ratio. Further, the strip crowns of tho second and after rolling mills can be obtained by adding the set target strip crown, a value obtained by multiplying the deviation in mechanical strip crown between the predicted value and the actually measured value by a imprinting ratio, and a value obtained by multiplying the deviation in entry strip crown between the target value and the calculated measurement value by an inheritance coefficient, for each rolling mill. Further, in the control method of the continuous rolling mills, the rolling mill is controlled in correspondence to the deviation in strip crown between the value actually measured by the profile gauge (10,11,12) and the previously calculated value, in such a way that the manipulated variables of the actuators of the rolling mills arranged on the upstream side of the rolling mill having the profile gauge (10,11,12) are equal to each other or determined to a predetermined proportion by use of imprinting ratios and inheritance coefficients, or else in such a way that the controlled variables of the ratio crowns of a strip (8) rolled by the respective rolling mills (1-4) arranged on the upstream side of the rolling mill having the strip crown meter are equal to each other or determined to a predetermined proportion by use of imprinting ratios, inheritance coefficients, and strip thicknesses, for each rolling mill.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce tension to be added and to prevent breaking in the vicinity of a joined point by changing the set value of a rolling mill into the set value of a succeeding material before the joined point between a preceding material and the succeeding material is entered into a stand or after passing through the stand. CONSTITUTION: The set value of roll circumferential speed and the set value of roll gap to the preceding material A and succeeding material B at each stand are preliminarily determined by calculation by use of measured temps. with a material thermometer 11 or the like with an arithmetic controller 10. By a tracking signal of the joined point P between the preceding material A and the succeeding material B from a 1st joined point tracking device 12 or a 2nd joined point tracking device 13, either before the joined point P reaches each stand or after passing through the stand is judged and the command value at each stand is changed into the command value of the succeeding material B. In this way, the tension to be added to the joined point P is reduced and breaking in the neighborhood of the joined point P is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To correct meandering without generating thickness deviation between the right and left of a rolled stock by controlling the meandering of the rolled stock by respectively independently executing angle setting of the cross angles of an upper work roll and lower work roll. CONSTITUTION:On the upstream side of a finishing mill, the meandering amount (off-center amount of the center of a sheet from the center of a mill) of the rolled stock 1 is detected with a width end position detector 14 and data are transmitted to a meandering computing element 16. Upper and lower cross motors 10, 12 are operated so as to correct meandering with the meandering computing element 16 and the cross angles of the upper and lower work rolls 2, 4 are changed. On the downstream side of the finishing mill, the sectional shape of sheet of the rolled stock 1 is measured with a sheet profile gage 18 and signals are transmitted to the meandering computing element 16. The upper and lower cross motors 10, 12 are operated so as to correct a roll gap with the meandering computing element 16. The cross angles of the upper and lower work rolls are shifted and the off-center of the rolled stock 1 and the off-center of the cross point are made to coincide.
