摘要： Provided is a cooled casing type electric motor, which is cooled by dipping the casing of a stator frame (2) in a coolant. A thermally conductive member layer (15) is formed in a clearance (13) between the back of a stator iron core (1), which is obtained by bringing an electromagnetic steel plate (11) into contact with the inner wall face of the stator frame (2) to fix the plate in the laminated state, and the inner wall face of the stator frame (2). The thermally conductive member layer (15) is made mainly of a graphite sheet, and may be mounted on either the back of the stator iron core (1) or the inner wall face of the stator frame (2). The clearance (13), which might otherwise exist between the back of the stator iron core (1) and the inner wall face of the stator frame (2) so that it would obstruct the radiation of the heat generated in the operation by the stator iron core (1) and transferred to the stator frame (2), thereby to drop the cooling performance of a stator winding (3), can be eliminated to provide the cooled casing type electric motor having an excellent cooling performance.

According to the present invention, the inorganic filler is excellent in the heat conductivity and has a Mohs hardness not lower than that of the glass cloth contained in the mica tape, when used together with the inorganic filler, whereby, even if the mica tape is wound about the conductor portion while applying a prescribed tension to the mica tape, the mica tape is not broken, and it is possible to form an insulating layer capable of exhibiting the highest heat conductivity owned by the inorganic filler.
