    • A wireless telephone device (1) is provided with a lead switch (13) arranged between a wireless unit (12) and a rod antenna (15) in the telephone set main body (10), which connects the wireless unit (12) and the rod antenna (15) to each other when the telephone set main body (10) is off a car kit (20). The car kit is provided with a magnet (27) which magnetically energizes the lead switch (13) when the telephone set main body (10) is placed on the car kit (20) so that the lead switch (13) is turned into a mode where the wireless unit (12) and an external antenna (26) are connected to each other. Hence it is possible to execute switching the antenna line between the rod antenna (15) of the telephone set main body (10) and the external antenna (21) of the car kit without inviting any increase in the consumption of electric current and without making the circuits more complicated.

    • This extendable antenna is related to an extendable antenna for a portable radio transceiver. The antenna has a first antenna portion and a second antenna portion connected with a connecting portion of the first antenna portion. The first antenna has a loading coil which is enclosed in a top end cap. When the second antenna portion is retracted into a housing, the connecting portion is held by a holding member disposed in the top of the housing, and the connecting portion is ellectrically connected with the circuitry of the transceiver via the holding member. Furthermore, the electrical length of the loading coil is a quarter wavelength, while the physical length of the loading coil is ?uch less than a quarter wavelength. Accordingly, even if the top end cap is only located out of the housing. the first antenna portion detects a radio frequency signal. Furthermore it is unnecessary for the radio transceiver to have an inner antenna and a rod antenna. and switching means for switching from the rod antenna to the inner antenna. And it is unnecessary for the housing to have space for the the inner antenna.

    • An improved system for fixedly mounting a case or the like box-shaped article onto the body of a motorcar is disclosed. The case is first placed on a mounting base fixedly secured to the body of motorcar by fitting a plurality of projections into holes on the mounting base and thereafter by operating a displacing device with the aid of a key the case is displaced relative to the mounting base so that the former is fixedly mounted on the latter. Each of the projections is formed with a V-shaped annular groove and each of the holes includes a larger diameter portion of which diameter is dimensioned larger than that of the projections and a smaller diameter portion formed by cutting a part of the larger diameter portion with a circle having the diameter dimensioned smaller than that of the larger diameter portion. Thus, the case is immovably mounted on the mounting base when the periphery of the smaller diameter portions of the holes are wedged between the upper and lower inclined parts in the V-shaped annular grooves on the projections. The case is normally constituted by a combination of upper cover and lower cover both of which are connected to one another by means of a plurality of fastening bolts of which head serves as a projection. The displacing device includes a tongue on the mounting base and a screw on the case and the latter is rotated by the key which is actuated from the outside of the device.
