    • PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of disposition by respectively discriminating and disposing waste of a high radioactivity level, waste of an extremely low level, metal waste decontaminated down to a prescribed level, and concrete waste. CONSTITUTION:The radioactive waste accepted in an acceptance treatment stage 1 is discriminated to the radioactive metals and the concrete waste. The metal waste is subjected to measurement and discrimination of the radioactivity level and the kinds of radioactivity in a measurement processing stage 2. The metal waste discriminated to general waste is disposed 5. Of the waste discriminated as the radioactive metal waste, the decontaminatable waste is sent to a decontamination treatment stage 3 and the nondecontaminatable waste is sent to a container packing stage 6 or simple disposition 8. The waste sent to the stage 3 is subjected to the decontamination treatment and is sent to the measurement processing stage 4 where the radioactivity level thereof is again measured. As a result, the waste decontaminated down to the prescribed radioactivity level is disposed 5. The waste failing to be decontaminated down to the prescribed level is sent to the stage 6 and is disposed 7. The waste of the extremely low level is disposed 8.

    • PURPOSE:To wash decontamination wastes efficiently by combining a pretreatment process that treats surfaces other than contaminated pars of radioactive wastes prior to an actual decontamination work, a decontamination process of contaminated metal surfaces and a washing process of decontaminated wastes after a decontamination. CONSTITUTION:For a case of pipings, for example, a high molecular material is fused on an outer surfaces by using a welding spray. A radioactive waste which finishes a pretreatment process 2 is put into a decontamination device to be completely decontaminated. In this case, a contaminated surface of contaminated matters 19 is dissolved and removed by just a touch of the contaminated surface of the contaminated matter 19 with an electrolyte liquid 14, and consequently is decontaminated to a level at which the decontaminated matter can be handled as same as ordinary industrial wastes. Radioactive wastes 27 which finish a decontamination treatment are sorted according to shapes of the wastes and then are washed down. The wastes which have been washed down to an enough level by suitable washing methods to their shapes, are measured their radioactivity levels and the wastes which is decontaminated to a level below the background level, is reused as an effective utilization of natural resources, considering to be an ordinary industrial waste 32.

    • PURPOSE:to diminish a produced amount of a radioactive waste substantially by providing a process to obtain a grouting material which is the radioactive waste added with a cement material and the like, and another process to measure a radioactivity level of the said grouting material. CONSTITUTION:Concerning about radioactive wastes such as an unsolved portion separated by a treatment of a decontamination liquid waste, its radioactivity level is measured and evaluated. To the radioactive waste evaluated its radioactivity level, a cement and the like are added, mixed and then a production 16 of a grouting material to stabilize activated metals, contaminated metals, radioactive concrete and so on, is conducted. On the other hand, received radioactive wastes are treated according to their material characteristics, their radioactive situations and their radioactive levels. Packaged 5 radioactive wastes are required to be conducted a stabilization and solidification treatments 11 for the wastes not so as to move around in the package during transportation, and the said grouting material can be used for the stabilization. For the stabilized and solidified radioactive wastes, a package inspection is applied and thereafter the wastes are transported to a storage facility or a disposal site according to their radioactivity levels.

    • PURPOSE:To enable efficient and thorough decontamination by decontaminating waste failing to be decontaminated down to a prescribed level further by a regular decontami nation consisting of at least two kinds of different decontamination methods according to shapes. CONSTITUTION:The radioactive contaminating metal waste is taken out of a container by a waste accepting part 1 and is subjected to a predecontamination 2 by which clads, etc., are removed. The waste taken out of the predecontamination 2 is cleaned in a rinse tank 3 and is subjected to the measurement of the radioactivity level by a measuring and discriminating system 4, by which the waste is discriminated to the decontaminated waste 11 and the waste failing to be decontaminated. The waste failing to be decontaminated is discriminated in shapes to an electrolytic polishing decontamination 6 and an oxidation-reduction decontamination 7 according to the shapes thereof. The waste taken out of the decontaminations 6, 7 is further subjected to cleaning of the decontaminating agent, etc., in a rinse tank 8 and thereafter, the radioactivity level thereof is measured by the measuring and discriminating system 9, by which the waste is discriminated to the decontaminated waste 12 and the waste failing to be decontaminated. The waste failing to be decontaminated down to the prescribed radioactivity level is again subjected to the regular decontamination in the regular decontamination 5.

    • PURPOSE:To treat radioactive metallic wastes rationally and effectively by measuring radioactive levels and kinds of radioactivities and by recognizing shapes of the wastes for the waste taken out from containers after transferring the wastes received, to a barge to a part lower than a draft water level of the barge. CONSTITUTION:Radioactive metallic wastes are transferred to a treatment part 107 placed lower than a draft level of a barge from a bring-in hatch 110 located on a deck of the barge. The radioactive metallic wastes received to the barge are transferred to a receiving process 1 where the receiving process such as reading out of informations from wate generating sites, taking out of the waste from transfer containers of the wastes and refilling the wastes to another container are conducted. Then the wastes are transferred by a crane 106 placed on the barge, for a measuring treatment process 2, where the wastes are measured their radioactive levels and kinds of their radioactivities. Subsequently, at the process 2, judgement to decontaminate the wastes or not, is performed based on measured results and the informations from the waste generating sites and then the wastes which are possible to be decontaminated are transferred to a decontamination treatment process 3 by the in-barge crane 106.
