    • PURPOSE:To efficiently eliminate a soluble substance and an insoluble substance from a radioactive waste liquid of low radioactive concentration by treating the radioactive waste liquid by activated carbon, and reproducing the activated carbon by hydrogen peroxide and reusing it, when the suction capacity of the activated carbon is deteriorated. CONSTITUTION:First of all, a dummy waste liquid is supplied to a feed liquid tank 1, and by operating a pump 2, a valve V1 is opened, and the dummy waste liquid is supplied to an activated carbon filling vessel 3. Subsequently, COD of treating water is measured by a chemical oxygen demand meter (COD meter) installed in an outlet of the vessel 3, and at the time point when the COD reaches a prescribed value or above, the pump 2 is stopped. Next, the valve V1 is closed, a pump 7 is driven, a valve V3 is opened, and hydrogen peroxide is supplied by a prescribed quantity to the vessel 3. After this state is left as it is about 10 - 30 hours, the valve V3 is closed, a valve V2 is opened and hydrogen peroxide is exhausted to a used hydrogen peroxide receiving tank 8. After closing the valve V2 and V3, the valve V1 is opened, and by operating the pump 2, a waste liquid is supplied to the vessel 3 again, and the same operation is repeated.

    • PURPOSE:To enable effective removal of soluble and insoluble substances from a liquid radioactive waste of low radioactivity concentration by feeding the liquid radioactive waste into a vessel filled by an activated carbon, and by continuing the feeding along with a flowing-in point of the liquid waste into the vessel lowered as the flowing-in pressure rises. CONSTITUTION:When a waste liquid flows into a layer 4 filled by an activated carbon, and clogging occurs, that is, when a pressure gauge 5 shows a higher value of flowing hydraulic pressure, flowing into an upper clogging part of the filled layer is avoided, and a valve V1 is closed and a valve V2 is opened so as to feed the waste liquid into a part B lower than the upper clogging part. Then, when the clogging occurs furthermore, a part higher than the part mentioned above is again avoided and a flowing-in point is lowered further to a position C to continue the flowing-in. By repeating such a procedure, time before back-washing, in other words, a treating amount before the back-washing, can be increased. Moreover, soluble and insoluble substances in extremely low radioactivity concentration waste liquid such as washing water for clothings and water from a washroom, can be easily removed.

    • PURPOSE:To achieve the prevention of a driving water mixed with a foreign matter from flowing into a control rod driving mechanism or the like by employing a hollow yarn film filter having a backwashing reproduction equipment as a driving water purification filter set within a piping of a control rod driving water pressure system. CONSTITUTION:One of two driving water filters set on the side of an outlet of a drive pump is replaced with a hollow yarn film filter 28 and a water source is confined solely to a condenser storage tank. The filter 28 have a closed casing 28a which is divided into upper and lower parts inside with a partition 28b having numerous pores and a filter element 25 comprising numerous hollow yarns is mounted in the pores of the partition 28b to hang down. A driving water fed to a filter chamber 28d at the lower part of the casing 28a is filtered with an element 28c and then, discharged to an outlet part 28h through a discharge valve 28g having a shutoff valve 28f from a header chamber 28e at the upper part thereof.
