摘要： PURPOSE:To display the pictures in a wide range on a window by giving the rotary control to the panning or tilting angle of an image pickup means. CONSTITUTION:A window position/size calculation part 5 receives the information on the extending operation of a window carried out at a work station 9 and then obtains the areas w21-w23 where the input of new pictures are required. Meanwhile a rotational angle calculation part 7 calculates the camera tilting and panning angles necessary for image pick-up operations carried out in the due directions from the center positions of areas w21-w23. Based on these calculated tilting and panning angles, a camera panhead 3 rotates an ITV camera 1. Thus photographed pictures are stored in a picture memory 2, and a picture synthesizing part 6 buries these pictures into the idle areas of a display memory 4. Then the synthesized pictures are written into the prescribed windows W1 and W2 on a screen 10 of a console 8 set at the station 9.
