The remote controller 3, based on the fed information on the types of the optional equipments, automatically changes over the function display of the operation or the stop of the optional equipments so that only the function display of the two optional equipments actually connected to the air condition body 1 can be selected. Thus, when the user of the remote controller 3 conducts an option selecting operation, a mode displayed by the remote controller 3 is not on the whole three optional equipments which can be displayed by the remote controller 3 but limited to the two optional equipments 7 and 8 actually connected to the air conditioner body 1 and the function display does not appear on the optional equipment which is not actually connected to the air conditioner body 1.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of an inverter load by providing a detection circuit for detecting the continuous time of an ON control signal output from a controlling circuit, and a variable delay circuit for varying the delay time of the signal of a transistor corresponding to the detected continuous time. CONSTITUTION:When a continuous time detected by a detection circuit 3A (3B) is long, a reverse bias voltage between a base and an emitter to be stored in a capacitor 11 (18) of a drive circuit 5A (5B) is sufficiently stored. Even if the delay time is set to a short value, the transistors 12 and 13 of an inverter main circuit 6 are not simultaneously turned ON. On the contrary, when the continuous time is short, the delay time of a variable delay circuit 2B (2A) is set to a long value. In this case, a reverse bias voltage between a base and an emitter to be stored in the capacitor 11 (18) is insufficient, a storage charge discharging time is increased. The delay time of the circuit 2B (2A) is set to a long value so that the transistors 12 and 12 of the circuit 6 may not be simultaneously turned ON.

    • PURPOSE:To improve operability and to prevent the generation of malfunction even when an external memory device is inserted imperfectly into an information processor by providing an external memory detecting means, a signal generating means, a control means, etc. CONSTITUTION:When an external memory device 10 is inserted into an information processor 20, the device 20 inputs detection signals CD0 and CD1 generated from signal generating means 12a and 12b of the device 10 and detects the condition of the insertion through an external memory detecting means 23. When it is judged that the device 10 is inserted normally, an initializing operation is performed by a control means 26. When the device 10 is pulled out of the device 20, the signals CD0 and CD1 from the device 10 are not detected through the means 23, and when it is judged that the device 10 is pulled out, the stop operation is performed by the means 26. By arranging the means 12a and 12b in both end parts of an input/output terminal 11, the condition of the connection of the device 20 with the device 10 can be surely detected, the generation of the malfunction is prevented, the operation from the insertion to the pulling-out is lightened and the operability can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To enable mass production of spiral material from a material having excellent mechanical strength with high shape and dimensional accuracy in short time by boring a solid cylindrical body after a spiral groove is cut in the outer circumference thereof or making cuts in a hollow cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:A material, i.e. a cylindrical body 1, is mounted on a holding jig 2 then a tool feeding mechanism 7 is positioned at an inclination angle thetawith respect to the axis S. Then a motor 17 is driven to rotate a rotary tool 20 while a motor 3 is driven to rotate the holding jig 2 thus rotating the cylindrical body 1 around the axis S. Under this condition, a handle 12 is rotated while moving a motion table 5 in the direction of an arrow with low speed to advance a slider 10 so as to make a cut in the outer circumferential wall of the cylindrical body 1 by means of the rotary tool 20. Consequently, an inclining cutting line is formed and when the cylindrical body 1 is moved axially, a spiral cutting line 23 is formed and a spiral material 24 formed from a spiral band. When the spiral material 24 is pulled out from the jig 2 after the cutting line 23 is formed entirely in the axial direction of the cylindrical body 1, a helical board is obtained.

In this way, when the write protection switch 41 is in the write prohibiting state, the memory write signal, the inverse of WE, is not outputted, and the write to the memory can be prohibited by the write protection switch.

The substrate 11a on which the metal film 12 is formed and the substrate 11b on which the metal film is not formed are bonded to each other. After the bonding, the substrates 11a and 11b are subjected to the outside processing to form a plurality of head chips. After the head chip which is formed by the outside processing is bonded to a base part 1, windings are applied to winding windows 5 and 5 and the corner parts of the top part of the head chip are polished by a lapping tape to round. With this constitution, the gap trench can be formed in the magnetic metal film by a photolithography method and, further, the outside processing and window processing of the nonmagnetic substrates can be eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to make a user recognize surely non-coincidence of a custom code received from a remote control device with the custom code of the main body of an air conditioner, by providing an information means which gives information on the non-coincidence when it occurs. CONSTITUTION:The main body 2 of an air conditioner has a microcomputer for control and others built in and this microcomputer is provided with a custom code discriminating means and a custom code error indicating means. When a remote control signal 4 is received by a reception window 7 of the main body 2 of the air conditioner, the custom code discriminating means compares a custom code contained in the remote control signal 4 with the custom code of the main body 2 of the air conditioner, and only when the two codes coincide with each other, the main body 2 of the air conditioner is controlled to operate on the basis of a data code of the remote control signal 4. The custom code error indicating means makes a custom code error indicator 9 light or flicker for indication when it is discriminated that the two custom codes on the remote control device 3 side and the air conditioner main body 2 side do not coincide with each other.
