    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tuyere having long service life to oxygen flame washing work and low running cost by consisting a part of the lower part in the peripheral direction of the tuyrene for molten metal vessel of a reinforcing part composed of a refractory excellent in erosion resistance to FeO over the whole length of the axial direction. SOLUTION: The tuyere 1 for molten metal containing iron is constituted of the reinforcing part 1a composed of the refractory excellent in the erosion resistance to the FeO over the whole length of the axial direction in the whole body at a part (zone at θangle) of the lower part in the peripheral direction and non-reinforcing part 1b composed of a refractory excellent in heat shock resistance at the other part. As the refractory constituting the reinforcing part 1a, an alumina-magnesia-carbon, magnesia-chromite, etc., is used and the angle θis >= about 60 deg., desirably about 90-120 deg.. Further, the refractory constituting the non-reinforcing part 1b, alumina-magnesia, alumina-silicon carbide, etc., is used. By this constitution, as the tuyrene for molten metal tapping or for fitting blowing plug, the desirable tuyere is obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the surface oscillation and splashing of a molten metal to be generated at the time of blowing powder and gas by providing a disk- shaped surface oscillation suppressing plate which is held in the lower part of the cap for out-of-furnace refining apart therefrom and has a lance passage. CONSTITUTION:The disk-shaped surface oscillation-suppressing plate 8 is connected to the conventional cap 2 for out-of-furnace refining apart therefrom. The lance passage 11 is opened in the central part of the surface oscillation- suppressing plate 8 and the circumference thereof is provided with, for example, two pieces of posts 9 connecting the surface oscillation suppressing plate 8 to the cap 2. If the surface oscillation-suppressing plate 8 is provided with gas blowing holes 10, the stirring of the molten metal 5 is intensified and, therefore, such provision is preferable. The length of the posts 9 is merely necessitated to be set approximately equal to the distance between the rear surface of the cap 2 for out-of-furnace refining and the surface of the molten metal 5 and is not particularly restricted. The surface oscillation suppressing plate 8 is so disposed and used as to be slightly immersed into the molten metal 5.

When supplying a pressurized oil, a cylinder rod of the emergency bearing load releasing cylinder is retracted, a joining fixture 32 to joined thereto and a bearing load bar are moved a right side, the bearing load is released.
