摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tundish nozzle exchanging device which can facilitate an accurate leveling operation on the bottom end face of an upper nozzle. SOLUTION: This tundish nozzle exchanging device comprises a lower nozzle 17, a blank nozzle 18, or an immersion nozzle being energized upwards, which can be exchanged by a horizontal extrusion means and be slid via upper end faces 22, 23, and 24, on a lower end face 12 of an upper nozzle 8, the bottom end part of which is extruded downward and which is mounted to a molten metal outlet 3 of a tundish 1. In this case, a hoop ring 14 is thermally inserted in a periphery of the bottom end part of a nozzle body 10 of the upper nozzle, and the upper end face can be abutted to the bottom face of a base plate 7 mounted to the bottom of an outer iron skin 2 of the tundish, so that a positioning ring 15 is fixedly engaged on the periphery of the ring 14.

摘要： A sliding-gate device for casting which is intended for installation on an outlet of a vessel (20) for molten metal has one or two fixed plates (1', 2') and a sliding plate (3'). Respective frames are provided around the sides of the fixed plates and around the sides of the sliding plate, and the fixed plates (1', 2') and the sliding plate (3') are held together by the frames by means of holding means (4). 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the suction of the air into a molten steel flowing hole by enlargement of crack as radiating state developed in the surround of the hole with heat shock, by forming a prescribed depth of slit from the lower end of a lower plate at least in one circle on the outer periphery of the molten steel flowing hole at the projecting part of the lower plate. SOLUTION: At least one circle of the slit is arranged on the outer periphery of the molten steel flowing hole 4 at the projecting part 3 of the lower plate 1. In this case, R1 ; R2 is made to 0.1-0.75, D1 : D2 is made to 1: 0.1-1.0 and the width W of the slit is made to 0.1-10mm. Further, refractory mortar is filled up in the slit. Ordinarily, since silica as main component in the refractory mortar has very small heat conductivity, the crack caused by the heat shock can drastically be avoided by heat insulating action at this part. Therefore, the crack is developed as the radiating state from the molten steel flowing hole 4 and the oxidation of the molten steel caused by the suction of the air into the molten steel flowing hole 4 is prevented.

摘要： PURPOSE:To simplify a device without requiring a burner by sucking the high temp. preheating gas in a vessel for molten metal from the lower part of a nozzle and preheating the nozzle in the state or newly mounting this nozzle in the tap hole of this vessel for the metal. CONSTITUTION:This heat insulating device 5 is installed on a truck 5 moving or rails and has a horn-shaped guiding hood 7 enclosing the circumference of the nozzle 5, a suction device 8 installed integrally below this guiding hood and a positioning mechanism 9 for positioning the guide hood 7 of this suction device 8 at the bottom end of the nozzle 4. The device is composed of a lifting cylinder 10 which attaches and detaches this positioning mechanism 9 to and from the nozzle 4 by vertically moving the mechanism 9 and an air introducing device 11 for inducing an ejector effect by introducing high-pressure air into the suction device 8. As a result, the device is simplified and peeling of a coating material for preventing oxidation applied on the nozzle 4 and variation in heating temp. by the position in the vertical direction of the nozzle are eliminated and the heating up effect with good balance even among different kinds of steels is obtd.

Then, a joint filler 45 is stuck onto the upper surface of a nozzle 7 by working a joint filler supplying and press-sticking device 15. Successively, the delivery device 14 of the transporting mechanism 13 is again extended, and after positioning a nozzle holding device 36 of the molten metal vessel 1, the nozzle 7 supported with an engaging groove of a delivery hand 28 is transfered to the nozzle holding device 36.
