    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficient drilling by reducing loss of energy during drilling. SOLUTION: A bit main body 20 has three guide grooves formed radially on the surface of its end in such a way that they are inclined by a predetermined angle to its axis. A diameterincreasing bit tooth 22 is freely slidably supported in the guide groove, projects from the surface of the end of the bit main body 20 by sliding along the guide groove in a drilling direction, and projects from the outer periphery of the end of the bit main body 20 by sliding in the direction opposite to the drilling direction. During drilling, the diameter- increasing bit tooth 22 is pressed against the ground and therefore slides in the direction opposite to the drilling direction, projecting from the outer periphery of the end of the bit main body 20 and increasing in diameter. Thus a borehole increased in diameter is drilled, most of the borehole being drilled by the bit main body 20 so that efficient drilling is made possible with little loss of energy. Also, an increase in the diameter of the hole that is stable in terms of strength can be dealt with.

    • PURPOSE:To easily connect rotary shafts of a power swivel and drill pipes of a multi-shaft drill pipe and connect the multi-shaft drill pipe and an excavated multi-shaft drill pipe. CONSTITUTION:A connecting device 10 is constituted so that the rotating torque from the rotary shaft 18 (20, 22) of a power swivel 12 can be transmitted via an elastic member 50 and it can be rotated by a preset quantity against the rotary shaft 18 via the elastic deformation of the elastic member 50. Even if the irregular section of the spline 68 of the drill pipe 24 (26, 28) and the irregular section of the spline 46 of the connecting device 10 are deviated from each other, the connecting device 10 is moved and thrust into the drill pipe 24 together with the power swivel 12, then the connecting device 10 is rotated by a preset quantity against the rotary shaft 18 via the deformation of the elastic member 50, and the irregular section of the spline 68 and the irregular section of the spline 46 coincide. The drill pipes 24, 26, 28 of a multi-shaft drill pipe 14 can be connected to the rotary shafts 18, 20, 22 of the power swivel 12, and an excavated multi-shaft drill pipe 14A can be easily connected to the multi-shaft drill pipe 14.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance economical effects by forming a rectangular slot in the ground while supplying a setting filling liquid, and consolidating and improving the drilled ground by stirring and mixing of the liquid with earth drilled, and reducing the amount of earth drilled and the amount of injection of a fluid such as cement milk when drilling a continuous wall, and also setting a large span between holes drilled. CONSTITUTION:Bits 24, 26, 28 provided at the ends of respective drilling shafts 12, 14, 16 are so formed that their loci of rotation overlap one another, and intermediate wall face cutters 32 are provided among the drilling shafts 12, 14, 16. Also, external wall face cutters 30 are provided on both of the outer sides of each drilling shaft 12, 16. Therefore a channel drilled by the external wall face cutters 30 and the intermediate wall face cutters 32 becomes rectangular, so a continuous wall of fixed thickness can be formed and rectangular portions at both ends overlap each other without bits at both ends overlapping each other, whereby continuity can be secured. Thus the length of drilling can be increased and enhancement of drilling efficiency and reduction in the amounts of injection and drilled earth can be achieved.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a drill pipe coupler that is manufacturable at low cost and performs the connection and removal of drill pipes themselves in a short time as well as to make them detachable so easily without entailing any alignment for their fitting parts even in the case of multiple drill pipes. CONSTITUTION:An involute spline 16 is formed in a female shaft 14 of a drill pipe 12 and another involute spline 20 in a male shaft 18, respectively. At the time of coupling these shafts 14 and 18, even in the case where both jog parts of these splines 16, 20 are not fitted with each other, each taper face formed at both sides of a tip part of the involute spline 20 pushes each taper face formed at both sides of a tip part of the involute spline 16, so the involute spline 20 is thrust in along the taper face 16B of the involute spline 16. With this constitution, even if their fitting parts are not aligned, the drill pipes 12 themselves are easily connectible. Accordingly, coupling between multiple drill pipes parallelly installed is thus achievable in an easy manner.
