Then an instruction to execute the program is inputted to the control section 4 by the keyboard 3 and processed and stored in the storage section 6. A picture processing section 5 receives the instructions in the order of program from the storage section 4 to execute various picture processing and the processed picture is displayed on a monitor 8.

    • PURPOSE:To judge acceptance or rejection by strictly detecting the position and verticality of a rod-shaped body with respect to a base stand, by taking the image of the rod-shaped body by one set of TV cameras and calculating the three-dimensional position coordinates of the rod-shaped rod at two places at every TV cameras and comparing the position and posture of the rod-shaped body calculated from said coordinates with a reference value. CONSTITUTION:The rod-shaped body 1 vertically provided to an end surface 3 by stud welding is photographed by TV cameras 4, 5 and the obtained images are converted to binarized images 8, 8'. Then, windows 9, 10 and 11, 12 are set along the upper and lower sides of the images 8, 8' and, at first, from the coordinates of the centers 13, 15 of gravity of rectangles 17, 19 formed by the rod-shaped body 1 in the region where the windows 9, 10 are cut out, the three-dimensional positions of the centers 13, 15 of gravity are calculated. Next, the three-dimensional positions of the centers 14, 16 of gravity of rectangles 18, 20 are calculated in the same way. Then, the three-dimensional inclination of the axial line V1 of the rod-shaped body 1 is calculated from a predetermined formula and this inclination is compared with a predetermined reference value to make it possible to judge acceptance or rejection.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous detection by providing recognizable lines on upstanding pins in pin arranging positions and removing unnecessary segments from binary coded ones of image data of the pins and overlapping segments. CONSTITUTION:The deepest recognizable line L5 is binary coded to judge pins with reference to segments having unnecessary segments removed by the maximum and minimum values of pin width. The recognizable lines on and after the next one L4 are binary coded and the segment overlapping the binary coded segment on the adjacent deeper recognizable line is removed from the next recognizable line L4 by logic operation to judge the pin with reference to the segment having the unnecessary segment removed by the maximum and minimum, values of pin width. Further after the recognizable lines L1, L2 of the No.1 pin P1 are binary coded, the logical AND of binary coded segment of the recognizable lines L1, L2 is performed to judge the pin with reference to the segment having the unnecessary segment removed by the maximum and minimum values of pin width. Thus, erroneous detection can be prevented.
