摘要： PURPOSE:To maintain the components of separated gases by packing adhesives in both end parts of a defective separating membrane tube, and allowing the adhesives to set thereby closing the tube if there is said defective tube in a holllow membrane separating module. CONSTITUTION:If there is a clogged part 9 in one of separating membrane tubes 2, a terminal member 5 in one end part of a body 1 is first removed, and an uncured adhesive 10 is coated on the end face of a terminal sealing part 3 and is packed down to the prescribed depth of the tubes 2. Next, a gas of prescribed pressure is supplied into the tubes 2 through the nozzle 6 of the member 5 to extrude and remove the uncured adhesive 10 from the inside of the tubes 2, but in the tube 2 having the part 9, the adhesive is left as it is and the adhesive 10 left therein is allowed to set. In the other end of the body 1 as well, the similar treatment is carried out to close both end parts of the tube 2 having the part 9 by the cured adhesives 10. Thereby, the inflow of a gaseous mixture to be supplied into the tube 2 having the part 9 is obviated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture a hollow membrane separation module of high reliability efficiently, by inserting the bundle of the hollow membraes into the end of a main body and inserting a closing object to close clearance between the main body and the bundle of the hollow membranes, then feeding the unhardened adhesive. CONSTITUTION:After a bundle of hollow membranes 104 is inserted in a main body 101 and a closing object 114 is inserted to the end 102 of the main body 101 and the clearance between the main body 101 and the bundle of the hollow membrane 104 is closed. Then, the main body 101 is held vertically, and the unhardened adhesive 106 is fed, stayed, filled and penetrated into the interstic between hollow membranes. Thus, because the adhesive is penetrated in the bundle of the hollow membranes by capillary action, also adding gravitation, the hollow membrane separation module of high reliability can be manufactured efficiently.

摘要： PURPOSE:To exactly detect the defects occurring a fluid separation membrane module in order to securely maintain and control the module by a method in which the same kind of fluid is supplied under the same pressure before and after the beginning to use the module, and then the flow rates of respective permeated fluids are measured and compared. CONSTITUTION:Before the beginning of use of a module 1, a fluid is supplied under a given pressure and the flow rate GA of the permeated fluid is measured. Then, after the beginning of use of the module 1, a stop valve 28 is closed, a valve 25 is opened, and the same fluid as the fluid used for measurement of GA is supplied from a fluid supply mechanism 26 to a high-pressure side space 4 under the same pressure. And, the flow rate GA' of the fluid coming out of a low-pressure side space 5 through a separation membrane 3 is measured by a flow meter 30. And, since GA' becomes greater than GA in case where defect occurs in the module 1 after the biginning of use, GA' is compared with GA to inspect whether defect has occurred after the beginning of use.

The flow rate GA of the first fluid coming out of the low-pressure side space 5 is measured by a flow meter 19, and then the valve 14 is closed, the valve 15 of the second fluid supply mechanism 13 is opened, and the second fluid is supplied to the high-pressure side space 4. Then, the flow rate GB of the second fluid coming out of the low-pressure side space 5 is measured likewise. And, the GA/GB ratio is compared with the ratio of the transmission coefficient QA for the first fluid of the separation membrane 3 to the transmission coefficient QB for the second fluid, and if the GA/GB ratio is equal to the QA/QB ratio, the result is determined as no defect.

摘要： PURPOSE:To permit the mass-production of the separation cell using silicone rubber hollow membrane with a high reliability in a short time. CONSTITUTION:A bottomed container, in which an expanded portion 5 is turned downward at the end of a cell outer cylinder, the bundle 1 of separating membrane cylinders is hanged down inside the expanded portion, and the lower end of the bundle 1 of separating membrane cylinders is covered with a stopper 6 serving as a positioner, is formed by means of an auxiliary cylinder 11. Furthermore, the lower end of the auxiliary cylinder 11 is provided with an oscillator 13, and the assembly is set in a vacuum container 14. Then, a silicone rubber sealant liquid is poured through a charging port 12 and solidified in the vacuum container 14. After the completion of solidification, the auxiliary framework 11, etc., are removed, and then the silicone rubber sealant 7 and the portion projecting from the expanded end 5 of the cell outer cylinder of each separating cylinder 1 are cut off in round slices and connected to the outside by means of the connection flange 10. Thus, accurate product can be easily assembled.

This makes it possible to obtain an accurate rate of permeation, improves the quality of the product, reduces the products that are discarded as the rates of their permeation go out of a permissible error range, improves the yield, the efficiency of production and lowers the cost.
