    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide structure for cleaning polluted groundwater in which a passing water flow is made always constant by making an underground leaning wall have a function for adjusting a groundwater head so that a prescribed leaning effect always obtained. SOLUTION: The structure for cleaning polluted groundwater is provided with a cleaning zone, on the downstream side of an underground polluted area, which is made to reach an impermeable layer and filled with a permeable material containing a decomposition reactant, a water-barrier wall which is installed on the downstream side of the cleaning zone, the lower end of which is positioned below the level of groundwater, and the upper end of which is positioned closed to the surface of the ground, a monitor means for monitoring water quality on the upstream side or downstream side of the wall, and a water head control means which supplies water to the downstream side of the wall corresponding to water quality monitored by the monitor means, or pumps up water on the downstream side of the wall to adjust a water head level on the downstream side of the wall.

    • PURPOSE: To properly grasp a leakage state of polluted water through a partition wall throughout a wide range as diffusion of leaking polluted water is prevented from occurring. CONSTITUTION: A management method is provided in such a manner that polluted water 15 seeping from a charged material 11, such as waste and reclamation soil, charged in a region 20 surrounded with a cut-off wall 10 is prevented from leaking out of it through the defect spot of the cut-off wall 10 to the outside. The cut-off wall 10 is formed as double structure having a hollow part 18 nipped between the inner wall 16 and the outer wall 17. By managing water quality in such a way to sample residence water residing at a hollow part 18, the leakage state of polluted water 15 from the inner wall 16 is grasped. Further, water is poured in the hollow part 18 in such a manner that a water level is raised to a level higher than a water level in the region 20 surrounded with the cut-off wall 10 and by a head difference between the inside and the outside with the inner wall 16 nipped therebetween, leakage of the polluted water 15 from the inner wall 16 is prevented from occurring.

    • PURPOSE: To make it possible to easily obtain cut-off and ground reinforcing effect or filling effect by mixing water swelling short fibers with cement or chemical grout to impregnate a water retardation ground, gaps, etc., in the perimeter of an underground structure or rocks with grout. CONSTITUTION: As grout used for improving a water retardation ground and filling gaps occurring in the perimeter of an underground structure or gap parts such as cracks, chaps, etc., of rocks to close, a mixture of short fibers at least having the slimy surface containing moisture and well lnown cement grout or chemical grout is used. As the short fibers, water swelling fibers of double construction constituted of the internal layer of acrylic fibers as the core and the external layer of high water absorption polymer in hydrophile- bridge formation polymer are used, and fibers with 1-8mm in length are mixed in range of 0.05-0.75wt.%. When such a compounded impregnate material is impregnated by means of a pump, frictional resistance is reduced, it is sufficiently and equally impregnated into gaps widely, the water swelling fibers are integrated with grout firmly, and the impregnate material is maintained into the gaps to cut-off and close.
