摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reasonably embed a gas pipe through which fuel gas having a pressure of about 1 to 10kg/cm flows. SOLUTION: A gas pipe A is formed in such a way that an inner pipe 2 such as a steel pipe is fitted in an outer pipe such as a vinyl chloride pipe, a polyethylene pipe, a synthetic resin pipe or a steel pipe, and holding members are interposed between the outer and inner pipes so as to define a gap therebetween. The gap pipe A is caused to follow an excavator for excavating the natural ground or a guide machine B for compacting the natural ground so as to form a tunnel, and a base pusher C laid in a vertical shaft D applies a thrust force to the inner pipe 2 so as to advance the inner pipe 2 from the vertical shaft D to a destination vertical shaft E. Each time when a single gas pipe A is advanced, a new inner pipe 2 is welded and connected to the inner pipe 2 in thus advanced gas pipe A, and accordingly, the outer pipes 1 are made to abut against each other so as to repeat the advance of the outer pipes 1.

SOLUTION: A pad 23 is pushed to the inner surface of the existing pipe 3 with a rear part clamp 20 to fix the inner clamping device l to the inner surface of the pipe. The spacer 151 comes near a main frame flange 15 side fixed to the existing pipe 3 by using an actuator 31 for matching the end surface. The actuators 31 are arranged at three positions in the circumferential direction and the spaces 151 are shifted to the deep side until the whole spacers 151 are brought into contact with the end surface of the existing pipe 3. Since the swingable and slidable spherical bearing 40 exists between a main frame 11 and the spacer 151, the spacer 151 is pushed so as to follow to the end surface of the existing pipe 3, and all of the spacers 151 at three positions are abutted on the end surface root part 3-2 of the existing pipe 3.

It can be understood from Fig. B that vertical walls 5 and 5' exist between points B and C and between points G and H at which the variation of the Z-value in one pitch is equal to or larger than the height of the wall 5 and the vertical walls 7 and 7' of a lip section exist between points D and E and between points E and F at which the variation of the Z-value is smaller than the height of the wall 5 and equal to or larger than the height of the wall 7.
