摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a first battery until its limit by providing a structure composed of two power sources, a first battery for opening/closing a gas shutting-off solenoid valve and a second battery for control, and providing an auxiliary closing means for supplying a solenoid valve closing current from the second battery when a voltage reduction occurs in the first battery. SOLUTION: A voltage reduction detecting means 6 for monitoring a first battery voltage for valve driving is made active when a control means 4 outputs a voltage detection permitting signal BE, determines a voltage reduction if a battery voltage is lower than the operation ensuring voltage of a solenoid valve 1 and then sends a voltage reduction signal BL to the control means 4. The PNP transistor 7a of an auxiliary closing means 7 operated by the voltage reduction signal BL is controlled by the auxiliary closing signal SC of the control means 4. The collector of the PNP transistor 7a of the auxiliary closing means 7 is connected to the collector of the PNP transistor 7a of the auxiliary closing means 7, an emitter is connected to a second battery 5 and an exciting current of ic is conducted from the battery 5 to the coil 1a of the solenoid valve 1.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a gas accident by regularly monitoring the presence of abnormality of a microcomputer by a watch dog timer, automatically closing a solenoid valve to interrupt the supply of gas when an abnormality occurs. SOLUTION: A watch dog timer 7 has a counter for counting the elapsed time, and clears the count value of the counter to zero every receipt of a watch dog timer reset signal outputted at a fixed period from a microcomputer 1. When the counted elapsed time reaches a fixed time longer than the fixed period, a second valve closing signal is outputted. Since the reset signal is outputted every fixed period to clear the content of the counter when the computer 1 is normally operated, the second valve closing signal is never outputted. When the computer 1 becomes abnormal, a first battery 2 is abnormally worn, and neither valve closing signal nor reset signal is outputted. Then, the second valve closing signal is outputted from the timer 7, and a solenoid valve 3 is automatically closed to interrupt the gas supply.

SOLUTION: A non-load voltage of a battery cell power supply 10 is measured with an instruction from an inspection signal output section 2. When this non-load voltage is less than a predetermined value, a residual amount measuring section 5 may measure such a voltage as one under a state in which a pseudo load 9 is connected to the battery cell power supply 10. In the case that the voltage under this loaded condition is less than a discriminated value, a residual amount abnormal signal is outputted and a battery cell consumption alarm section 7 may execute either an alarm display or an alarm informing operation.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcompuerized gas meter capable of securely stopping supply of gas even in the case of a microcomputer error. SOLUTION: Means for detecting an error of a microcomputer 1 and means for repeatedly driving a shutoff valve 11 at intervals when the error is detected are provided. The former means comprises; a charging circuit comprising a charge resistor 6 and a capacitor 7, a transistor 5 for discharging the charge in the capacitor 7 according to periodical commands from the microcomputer 1 when the micrccomputer 1 is operating in order, and a binalizing circuit 8 for issuing a signal when the potential of the capacitor rises and reaches a specified value. The latter means comprises; an oscillation circuit starting oscillation upon a significant signal from the binalizing circuit and a transistor 12 for driving the shutoff valve at the time of occurrence of a microcomputer error upon a signal from the oscillation circuit 9. Since the shutoff valve 11 is repeatedly driven at the time of an error of the microcomputer 1, continuous discharge of gas due to manually resetting the shutoff valve 11 is avoided.

Any failure regarding the current and the consumption of the battery can be normally detected via the current detecting resistance 13, and when the shutoff valve 5 and the display and report means 12 or the like are driven, the transistor 15 is turned on by the microcomputer 1 and made to bypass the current detecting resistance 13 so as to prevent decrease in a driving current.

SOLUTION: As a solenoid valve for shutoff and reset of gas, a self retaining type of opening-closing valve 2 is used which may be electrically opened and closed. To determine the valve driving ability of a battery 4, first, a microcomputer 1 determines if the opening-closing valve 2 is open or closed according to the state of signal output to a valve control circuit 5. If opened, an open valve signal is issued from an output port 1c to apply a current to the coil 2a of the opening-closing valve 2 in the direction of the solid line arrow A. The voltage of the battery 4 this time is detected with a voltage detection circuit 7. If closed, a closed valve signal is issued from the output port 1d to apply a current to the coil 2a in the direction of the broken line arrow B. The voltage of the battery 4 at this time is measured with the voltage detection circuit 7.

SOLUTION: Pulse signals originated from the output port P1 of the microcomputer are directly inputted to the first reception circuit (circuit A11) and inverted in an inverter 3 and inputted to the second reception circuit (circuit B11). Then, when the microcomputer 111 performs a normal operation, the output signals B1 and C1 of the circuits A11 and B11 both become a high level and the high level signals are inputted to a NAND circuit 9. At the time, the output of the NAND circuit 9 becomes a low level. Inversely, when the microcomputer 111 performs an abnormal operation, the output signal B1 of the circuit A11 for instance becomes the high level and the output signal C1 of the circuit B11 becomes the low level. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery capacity detection system for a microcomputerized gas meter, capable of securely detecting battery capacity rundown under an abnormal battery consuming state without increasing cost. SOLUTION: Energization time of a dummy load is made to the order of millisecond based upon the discharge characteristic of a battery. A voltage detection circuit for detecting the drop in the battery terminal voltage sets a preset voltage value for outputting a logic output to a microcomputer higher than a lowest operation voltage value of a shutoff valve. The preset increment is determined from the relationship between the amount of voltage drop during the short energization time and the voltage drop during operation of the shutoff valve (about 50ms). Since the energization time is greatly shortened to the order of millisecond, detection interval is also shortened greatly to about 10 minutes, so that the battery capacity rundown in the microcomputerized gas meter is securely detected to provide high reliability. Since this is practiced by changing software only, no cost increase is involved.

In a minute flow rate range where the generation of a gas accident is less feared and which the switch 9 cannot detect, the movement of a magnet in accordance with the flow rate of gas in the measuring device 1 is detected as a string/weak magnetism by the sensor 12, converted to a digital signal at 13 and taken into the computer 4, thereby, the presence/absence of a leak of gas is detected.
