    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an egineering method capable of smoothly laying a steel pipe to draw in underground in a long distance. SOLUTION: A starting vertical shaft 1 is furnished on one side of a pipe laying route, an arriving vertical shaft 2 is furnished on the other side, and a road setting type propulsive machine 3 is set on the ground on the side of the starting vertical shaft 1. In a first process, a first rod with a drill head installed on its head end is made to intrude underground by propulsive force by the propulsive machine 3 and made to drill a boring hole underground from the starting vertical shaft 1 to the arriving vertical shaft 2. In a second process, a hole extending reamer 6, a dummy pipe 8 and a second rod 4' are connected to a head end part of the first rod 4 on the side of the arriving vertical shaft 2, the dummy pipe 8 is made to pass along overall length of the boring hole by drawing force from the front by the propulsive machine 3, and a state of the boring hole is grasped by checking an outer surface of the dummy pipe 8 after passing. In a third process, the aforementioned hole extending reamer 6, the aforementioned dummy pipe 8 and an laying objective steel pipe are connected in series to one end of the second rod 4' on the side of the arriving vertical shaft 2, and the steel pipe is constructed in such a way as to draw it into the boring hole by pulling back the second rod 4' by drawing force from the front by the propulsive machine 3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pull in a steel pipe over a long distance which is conventionally impossible by a propelling machine alone by effectively utilizing a road setting type propelling machine. SOLUTION: A starting bored hole 1 is provided in one side of a pipe laying path, a destination bored hole 2 is provided in the other side, a road setting type propelling machine 3 having a guide drill unit 31 is installed on the round of the starting bored hole side 1 and a returning device 5 having a propelling jack is installed in the destination bored hole 2. In first step, a drill head is attached to the tip of a rotary rod 4 delivered from the road setting type propelling machine 3, advanced into the ground while rotating the drill head and boring hole is drilled up to the destination bored hole. In second step, the drill head is removed in the destination bored hole 2, instead by serially connecting an expanded hole rimer 6 coincided with a buried pipe diameter and a steel pipe 7 to be pulled in to the end part of the rod 4, the rod 4 is returned by a pulling-in force from the front by the propelling machine 3, and by simultaneously adding a pushing-in force from the rear side by the returning device 5 to the rear end part of the steel pipe 7 to be pulled in, the steel pipe is pulled in.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor required to remove a decrepit pipe as well as to remove the decrepit pipe over the total length even if the tendency for increasing driving force required to remove the decrepit pipe is eliminated. SOLUTION: A removing device for a decrepit pipe is provided with a towing member 4 inserted through a decrepit pipe 1 from a first pit 2 side to a second pit 3, a pipe breaking member 5 provided with a plurality of cutters 52 having the tips connected to the towing member 4, facing a plurality of parts in the circumferential direction of the decrepit pipe 1, arranged in the axial direction of the decrepit pipe 1, and provided with blade surfaces parallel to the moving direction of the towing member 4, and a recovering member 8 so provided as to be connected to the pipe breaking member 5, and provided with a cover member 8B having such a size as to cover the end surface of the decrepit pipe 1 on its terminal end. The decrepit pipe 1 is divided in the circumferential direction into fragments in the process in which the pipe breaking member 5 is towed with the towing member 4, the recovering member 8 is towed after the pipe breaking member 5 reaches the second pit 3, and the fragments of the decrepit pipe 1 are pressed into the second pit 3.
