    • PURPOSE: To make possible the preliminary cutting and polishing operation of an image guide by forming ≥1 turns of loops of the radius to obviate the spoiling of the image transmission function thereof to the intermediate part of the image guide.
      CONSTITUTION: An objective photodetecting lens 3 is attached via a protective cylinder 2 to one end of the image guide 1. The image guide 1 is constituted by bundling about 4,000W6,000 pieces of optical fibers in such a manner that the optical fibers are made into the same arrangement at both ends.
