    • PURPOSE:To provide a detection device which can detect the support metal fitting of a trolley wire in a running operation at a maximum speed of 350km per hour or lower. CONSTITUTION:This detection device is provided with two sets of detection optical systems 7A, 7B which are composed of light-projecting systems 71a, 71b and light-receiving systems 72a, 72b which are arranged in the X-direction at a proper interval YD a both sides of the right and left central line C on the roof of a detecting and measuring vehicle 5 and with a signal processing part 8 which is mounted on the detecting and measuring vehicle 5. Laser beams LT whose diameter is slender and whose intensity is high are projected respectively to vertically upper parts from the individual light-projecting systems 71a, 71b. The individual light-receiving systems 72a, 72b are set in such a way that the light-receiving optical axes form proper inclination angles theta to obliquely upper parts, they are set to the central direction in the height change range H of a support metal fitting 22, and they are installed perpendicularly to interference filters, image formation lenses and the light-receiving optical systems. When the detecting and measuring vehicle is run, beams of reflected light LR of the laser beams by the support metal fitting 22 or a trolley wire 1 are received by the individual light-receiving systems 72a, 72b, and their images are formed sequentially on a plurality of PD elements (e) by the image formation lenses.

    • PURPOSE:To optically measure the height of a trolley wire in a non-contact state by detecting a position corresponding to the height of the trolley wire from an image outputted from a light receiving optical system. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting optical system 7 and light receiving optical system 8 are symmetrically arranged with respect to a trolley wire wear measuring instrument 6 provided on a car body 3 on both sides of the instrument 6. The system 7 is constituted of a light source 7a, slit plate 7b, and projection lens 7c of which the plate 7b is set so that the direction of its slit can become perpendicular to the locus in the horizontal direction and the lens 7c is set so that the slit light projected in an upward oblique direction through the lens 7c can cover the deflected extent of a trolley wire 1. The slit light is reflected from the point (p), (q), or (r) of a trolley wire 1, 1', or 1'' after irradiating the point (p), (q), or (r). The reflected light is condensed through a condenser lens 8a and further converged in a section perpendicular to the locus direction by means of a cylindrical lens 8b. The converged reflected light forms the image of the point (p), (q), or (r) in a CCD sensor 8. The address signal of the picture element of the sensor 9 is inputted to a signal processing section 10 and the height of the trolley wire is found.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the high voltage of a trolley wire from being introduced into train voltage and make it unnecessary to use an insulation separating device and eliminate noise etc., caused by spark by mounting pressure sensors operated by an accelerometer on respective support insulators both of which support a panthagraph, and detecting the impact of the panthagraph colliding against the hard spot of the trolley wire. CONSTITUTION:Of four support insulators all of which support a panthagraph 2, front and rear insulators 3a, 3b both located on the right or left side of the direction in which a train travels have respective pressure sensors 5a, 5b mounted thereon, the pressure sensors 5a, 5b each being operated by an accelerometer. A voltage detected at each pressure sensor 5a, 5b has its low-frequency component removed by a high frequency filter 6a, 6b so that high-frequency components are output as against impact forces applied at the hard spot of a trolly wire. Since oscillatory components caused by the impact forces are in opposite phase, the oscillatory components are added to the (+) and (-) terminals of an arithmetic amplifier 7 and synthesized so as to obtain data on the hard spot with twice the initial sensitivity. The output of the arithmetic amplifier 7 is digitized by an A/D converter 8 and transferred to a data processing portion 9. Data on the running position of the train detected by a running position detector 10 is input to the data processing portion 9 and recorded in a recorder 11 in parallel with data on the hard spot.
