    • PURPOSE:To provide a feed roller having capability of preventing 'noises' and 'rattling' on a paper feeding mechanism part and axcellent durability, and workability by setting an elastic layer in its specified hardness and thickness in the case of a feed roller having the elastic layer formed on the outer periphery of its shaft body. CONSTITUTION:Such a shaft body 6, as being formed of a thermally hardening resin is generally used, however, the core metal of a metallic solid body or an internally hollow metallic cylinder may be used. As a rubber material for forming an elastic layer 7, various kinds of rubber used for manufacturing normal rollers may be used. However, ethylene-propylene-diene rubber having good workability whose proper friction coefficients can be easily obtained, and whose price is low is preferrably used. As a vulcanizing agent, sulphur, organic peroxidematerials, etc., are used and as additives a filling agent, a reinforcing agent a softening agent, a vulcanization promoting agent are used conveniently. The theckness of the elastic layer 7 is set to 1.0 to 2.0mm and hardness is set to Hs 20 to 50.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the sound of charging which is generated between a charging member and a photoconductor drum by providing a rod-shaped holding element inside a charging tube, extending a blade member from the rod-shaped holding element toward the inner peripheral surface of the charging tube, and pressing the end of the blade member against the inner peripheral surface of the charging tube. SOLUTION: A rod-shaped holding element 5 extending in the direction of the same axis as a charging tube 4 is provided inside the charging tube 4, and a blade member 6 is extended from the rod-shaped holding element 5 toward the inner peripheral surface of the charging tube 4. The end of the blade member 6 is pressed against the inner peripheral surface of the charging tube 4. Since only the charging drum 4 rotates, the sound of charging which is generated between a photoconductor drum and a charging member 7 can be reduced. The charging tube 4 used is obtained by blending conductive powders in a polyamide resin such as copolymer nylon, etc., or by blending conductive powder such as carbon black in a matrix component such as rubber.

    • PURPOSE:To remove electric charge on the surface of a roll through a shaft part and to prevent the formation of a discharge trace on a film by electrically connecting a conductive layer formed on the outer periphery of a cylindrical body to the metallic shaft part on the opening part of the cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:This antistatic roll is used for carrying a film or paper in an automatic developing machine or the like, the conductive layer 14 consisting of a conductive shrinking tube is formed on the outer periphery of the cylindrical body 12 consisting of phenolic resin and filler and the layer 14 is connected to the metallic shaft part 11 by a conductive part 15 on the opening part 12b of the cylinder 12. The conductive part 15 is formed by continuously applying conductive coating material to the outside face of one end of the layer 14, the opening part 12b and the shaft part 11 and drying the coating material.
