When the electric power is supplied again within one second after the time when the power supply has been cut off, an ordinary washing state is recovered. When the power is not supplied within one second, the ordinary washing is done after the initial washing.

    • PURPOSE:To detect an object correctly even when an infrared light generated by some cause acts as disturbance, in a detecting device of the object which uses the infrared light. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 22 detects the existence or nonexistence of disturbance on the basis of a light detection signal K1 at the time when light-emitting elements 6a and 6b emit no light. In the case when no disturbance exists, only the light-emitting element 6a is made to emit a light by a light emission command signal F of a fixed emission modulation frequency and an object (person) is detected on the basis of the light detection signal K1. When the disturbance exists, the existence or nonexistence of the disturbance is detected again on the basis of a light detection signal K2 at the time when the light-emitting elements 6a and 6b emit no light. When no disturbance exists then, the two light-emitting elements 6a and 6b are made to emit lights by the light emission command signal F of the fixed emission modulation frequency and the object is detected on the basis of the existence or nonexistence of the light detection signal K2. When the disturbance exists, the existence or non-existence of the disturbance is detected for a third time on the basis of a light detection signal K3 at the time when the light-emitting elements 6a and 6b emit no light.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote-control device for a door lock for a building, which makes a door locked/unlocked only when needed.
      SOLUTION: This remote-control device for the door lock for the building establishes radio communication between a locking/unlocking unit 10 provided in the door 2 of the building 1, and a portable machine 20 carried by a user of the building 1, so that the door locks 7 and 8 of the door 2 can be opened/closed. The locking/unlocking unit 10 transmits a request signal to a prescribed area around the door 2, and receives a transmission signal from the portable machine 20. In this case, an ID code included in the transmission signal is compared with a preset ID code. When these ID codes correspond to each other, the door locks 7 and 8 are opened. When the transmission signal from the portable machine 20 cannot be received, the door locks 7 and 8 are closed. The locking/unlocking unit 10 is equipped with an infrared ray sensor 15 which detects a person on the indoor side of the door 2 and in a range narrower than the prescribed area. When the ID codes correspond to each other on the indoor side of the door 2 and a person detection signal indicating the detection of the person is input from the infrared ray sensor 15, the locking/unlocking unit 10 opens the door locks 7 and 8.
