    • PURPOSE:To decrease the quantity of remaining air in waste gas at the lowest rate of combustion and to prevent CO from being generated at the highest rate of combustion by providing a damper plate on the delivery side of a blower so that flow rates of combustion air is controlled in such a way that the damper plate is tilted to the delivery side and inlet side depending on the delivery pressure of the blower. CONSTITUTION:When a blower 1 is actuated to send air into an air passage 9, a damper plate 12 is tilted downward due to the delivery pressure of the blower 1 against the force of a balance weight 13 in such a manner that said damper plate becomes stationary in such a tilted condition that the delivery pressure of the blower and the force exerted by the weight 13 are balanced, with the result that a flow passage 15 has a certain area of opening so that a specified quantity of combustion air corresponding to the delivery pressure of the blower is allowed to flow into a burner body 3 from the passage 9 via the passage 15 and is fed into a combustion chamber 10. The tilted angle of the damper plate 12 varies automatically following the magnitude of the delivery pressure so that the area of opening of the passage 15 varies automatically corresponding to the delivery pressure.

    • PURPOSE:To cope with trouble occurring with the unexpected extinction of a flame, and to enable the limitation placed on a mounting position for an ultraviolet ray detector to be removed, by a method wherein an optical fiber for curvedly advancing ultraviolet rays and conducting the same to the ultraviolet ray detector is connected to the fore end of the ultraviolet ray detector provided for detecting the ultraviolet rays radiated by a combustion flame. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber 15 for an ultraviolet ray band, which is provided to curvedly advance ultraviolet rays emitted by a combustion flame F and to conduct the same to an ultraviolet ray photoelectric tube 14, is inserted in the top end part of an outer cylindrical body 3. The lower end surface of the optical fiber is opposed to an air inlet port 7a at the top end of an inner tube 7, while the upper end surface of the same is opposed to a light projecting part 14a of the ultraviolet ray photoelectric tube 14, and the optical fiber 15 is disposed in a space between the combustion flame F and the ultraviolet ray photoelectric tube 14 in a bent state as a whole. The optical fiber 15, which has an optical fiber core such as a quarts coated fiber, and a heat- resistant sheath enveloping the optical fiber core, permits the ultraviolet rays radiated by the combustion flame F to transmit windingly therethrough and conducts the ultraviolet rays to the light receiving surface of the ultraviolet ray photoelectric tube 14.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the heat transfer characteristic of a burner main body and at the same time improve the durability of an outer tube by receiving a heating medium which consists of the congregation of heat resistant particles in a burner main body in which the inner tube and the outer tube are provided in parallel inside and outside respectively and transferring, during combustion, to the outer tube the heat of the heating medium which goes up and down and flow around in the outer combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:In the inside and outside of an inner tube 3 which is provided in an outer tube 2 parallel to the outer tube 2 an inner combustion chamber 4 and an outer combustion chamber are respectively formed. Near the bottom sections of the inner and outer combustion chambers 4 and 5, a heating medium 9 which is the congregation of heat resistant particles is accommodated. This medium 9 goes up and down and flows around in the outer combustion chamber 5 in the state of read hot by the combustion gas which flows from the inner combustion chamber 4 to the outer combustion chamber 5. With this arrangement, the outer tube 2 is heated uniformly over the whole of the flow-movement area L, and this state of heating not only equalizes the temperature distribution in the burner main body but also concentrates the heated area at the flow-movement area, and increases the heat radiation from this area L. Furthermore, thermal stresses and thermal shocks which the outer tube 2 receives is alleviated by the heating medium 9, improving the durability of the outer tube.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid heating apparatus such that a heating apparatus is made compact in the case of the same amount of combustion in contrast with the same size the amount of combustion is increased. SOLUTION: In a fluid heating apparatus for heating a fluid to be heated or a heating medium to relatively middle/low temperature of about 300 deg.C for heating, drying, hot water heating, and indirect heating, a heat transfer pipe 3 is disposed in a heating chamber 1a through which a fluid to be heated or a heating medium passes, and heat storage media 5a, 5b are provided at ends of the heat transfer pipe 3, and further heat storage type burners 4a, 4b are provided for supplying combustion air upon combustion through the heat storage media 5a, 5b wherein a pair of the burners 4a, 4b are alternately combusted to heat a fluid to be heated or a heating medium. There is further provided as a heat source a heat storage type burner including a heat storage medium for alternately performing supply of combustion air and exhaustion of combustion gas in the heat transfer pipe by making use of relative rotation.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the control system in a hot blast generating system by rotation-driving the turbine of a supercharger by means of an exhaust current discharged into an exhaust gas flow path, being pressurized, from a combustor and thereby taking out high-pressure hot blast from the exhaust gas flow path. CONSTITUTION:A mixture gas consisting of combustion air and low-pressure fuel gas mixed in advance with a mixer 2 is supplied into a burner 1 by the compressor 8 of a supercharger 7 through a mixture gas flow path 3. A turbine 9 is rotation-driven by the exhaust flow of exhaust gas discharged into an exhaust gas flow path 4 from the burner 1, being pressurized, so that high- pressure hot blast is taken out from the exhaust gas flow path 4. Accordingly, a gas compressor or the like for raising the pressure of fuel gas and a blower or the like for supplying combustion air become unnecessary, thereby reducing the facility cost and the power cost. The control system for the hot blast generating system can also be simplified.

    • PURPOSE:To heat an entire outer tube uniformly by covering the end of an inner tube, that is inserted into the outer tube, with an inner end plate, and making combustion gas in the inner tube flow through a number of flow paths into a combustion gas flow path. CONSTITUTION:An inner tube 7 is inserted into an outer tube 6 so as to form a combustion gas flow path 12, and the end of the inner tube is covered with an inner end plate 13. A number of flow paths 16, from which combustion gas flows into the combustion gas flow path 12, are perforated on the effective heating part 15 across a flame end 14 and the inner end plate 13 of the inner tube 7. The outer tube 6 is heated by combustion gas that flows from the inner tube 7 through the flow paths 16 into the combustion gas flow path 12. As a result, the temperature distribution over the surface of the outer tube can be maintained uniform because such an undesirable state is avoided that the vicinity of the end of the outer tube 6 becomes high temperature locally resulting in uneven temperature distribution over the surface of the outer tube 6.
