    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent influence on other tubes even when the tube made of ceramic is damaged, by providing plural tubes made of the ceramic in a furnace body in a position lower than a burner, pushing a metallic material in the hollow part of the tube, rotating while swinging the furnace body, and heating the metallic material. SOLUTION: Plural tubes 2 made of the ceramic are provided in the furnace body 11 under the regenerative burner 4. After pushing the metallic material in the hollow part of the tube 2 by a pusher from a feeding part 21, the metallic material is heated. The tubes 2 are arranged in concentric circle positions to the center 10 of the swing. Plural guide pins 12 are arranged in the concentric circle positions to the center 10 in the furnace body 11. By engaging an advanceable and retreatable engaging part 33 with the guide pin 12, and by moving a slide plate 32 back and forth, the furnace body 11 is swung through the engaging part 33 and the guide pin 12. The metallic material after heating is pushed outside the tube 2 from the opposite side of the feeding part 21. Even when the tube 2 is broken, it is directly dropped on the bottom part of the furnace body 11, and the other tubes 2 are not affected by it.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas combustion furnace with high convenience and less energy loss by judging need or no need of pre-purge based on elapsed time from the closing of shut off valve for shutting off the supply of gas to a gas burner to the next ignition of the burner, and performing pre-purge only when it is needed. SOLUTION: A control circuit 20 controls the opening and closing of electromagnetic valves 12, 13, 16, 17. Elapsed time T from the closing of a shut off valve to the opening of the valve for the mixed ignition is measured. When the minimum sensitive flow rate is represented by Q, the gas concentration of 1/5 of the explosion lower limit concentration in a furnace of a furnace body 2 is represented by C, if gas flow rate is detected in the state that four electromagnetic valves are closed, it is judged that gas is leaked, and gas leakage is checked. If gas flow rate is not detected, when the state is Q.T V.C, pre-purge is performed, and the concentration of gas in the furnace 2 is controlled to C or less.
