摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst excellent in the cost performance by using a small amount of titanium oxide because the photocatalyst particles (titanium oxide) can be firmly deposited at a high density on the surface of the photocatalyst. SOLUTION: The photocatalyst is obtained by depositing photocatalyst particles having a photocatalytic function on the surfaces of particulates coated with an adherent not solidified. The method for manufacturing the photocatalyst comprises a process of wetting the particulates with liquid, a process of adhering the adherent in a powdery state on the wetted surfaces of the substance, and a process of adhering the photocatalyst particles on the surfaces of the substance so as to form the photocatalyst.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a photocatalyst layer on the surface of which only titanium oxide is deposited, excellent in a cost performance because a small amount of the titanium oxide is used, causing no rebound or decrease in strength and significantly improving the removing rate of NOx. SOLUTION: The photocatalyst layer is obtained by applying or spraying an adherent on a substrate. And applying or spraying particles of the photocatalyst on the adherent layer before the adherent layer is solidified so as to bind the photocatalyst particles. The photocatalyst layer is also obtained by applying or spraying a mixture of the adherent and a granular material having rugged surfaces on the substrate to form a layer, and applying or spraying the photocatalyst particles before the mixed layer is solidified so as to bind the photocatalyst particles.
