    • The invention relates to a method for coding a current block of a sequence of images comprising the following steps: - determining (20, 30) at least one candidate motion vector associated with a neighbouring block of said current block, - determining (24, 34) a prediction motion vector from the candidate motion vector, and - coding (26, 36) the current block from the prediction motion vector.
