摘要： A video processor is responsive to an output of a pair of cameras that are used for detetermining a viewer viewing direction of a display screen. Once the viewer's viewing angle crosses a threshold angular direction dynamically tracking pan function is enabled so as to shift the displayed picture. An enhanced audio processor makes the perceived sources of sound produce in speakers dynamically follow the shifted picture. As the displayed image shifts by the dynamically tracking pan function, the locations from which the sound is perceived to originate also track the displayed image so that the stereophonic width dynamically varies in accordance with the stereoscopic width.

A first transmitter drive video signal containing a head/face image portion of the first participant is transmited via a communication network. An input video signal containing an image of a remote, second participant is received via the communication network for display in a display device of the smart phone. A video processor of the smart phone is responsive to the input video signal for valuating brightness content of the input video signal and for generating a second transmitter drive video signal having brightness content that is regulated in a feedback manner in accordance with the valuated brightness content of the input video signal. The second transmitter drive video signal is capable of enhancing background lighting produced by a remote display device of the second participant.
