And the device, if the grinding wheel 10 is moved as shown by an arrow head B in the drawing, first corrects one abrasive surface 10b by the rotary dresser 5b next the other abrasive surface by the dresser 5a. Accordingly, the device enables the plural abrasive surfaces of the grinding wheel 10 to be corrected by one time operation while prevents the rotary dressers 5a, 5b from unevenly wearing, and damage in the peripheral surface and the generation of disorder can be eliminated by exchanging or correcting only the dressers 5a, 5b.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread groove machining method capable of precisely machining a thread groove of a large-diameter feed screw device or a thread groove of a complicated shape. SOLUTION: The thread groove 20 is machined by a ball end mill 15 that is a rotating tool. For example, the thread groove is roughly machined on a peripheral surface of workpiece 10 by a cutting tool, and then subjected to quenching. Finally, the ball end mill 15 finishes the thread groove. At that time, by using the ball end mill 15 with a cutting edge diameter smaller than thread groove width, a cutting position of the ball end mill 15 is gradually changed to finish the thread groove. SOLUTION: This finite stroke ball screw device has a screw shaft 10; a nut member 20; a plurality of balls 30 rolling between a ball rolling groove 11 of the screw shaft 10 and a ball rolling groove 22 of the nut member 20; and the ball holder 40 interposed between the screw shaft 10 and the nut member 20, whose one part is extruded to the outside of the nut member 20, having a ball holding hole 42 for inserting each ball 30 and placing the balls 30 at predetermined intervals in proper alignment. The ball holder 40 has a spacer part having a concave spherical accepting surface with which the ball slidably contacts between the ball holding holes 42 in the line up direction of the balls 30 on the outer circumferential surface, and a cross section vertical to the line up direction of the balls 30 of the spacer part is formed in a circular arc.
