    • A method for making lithium-ion rechargeable batteries comprising placing an electrode assembly into a battery case and injecting the electrolyte solution into the case; and sealing the battery case; wherein the injection of the electrolyte solution comprises twice electrolyte solution injection which includes a first injection injecting part of the electrolyte solution into the battery case, and then temporarily sealing the case followed by a formation process of the resulted temporarily sealed battery; and a second injection injecting the mixture obtained by adding an additive into the remaining electrolyte solution into the battery case, said additive is lithium bis(oxalate)borate. The lithium-ion rechargeable batteries prepared by the method of the present invention exhibit consistently enhanced performance, including battery capacity, high-temperature storage property, low-temperature discharge property, discharge rate property and cycle property.
