摘要： An effective amount of uncomplexed cyclodextrin, in the form of particles having particle sizes below about 12 microns, is incorporated into solid dryer-activated fabric conditioning compositions which are used in dryers to treat fabrics. The cyclodextrin is thereby attached to the fabrics and subsequently provides effective control of odors when they come in contact with the treated fabric. The fabric conditioning compositions can be attached to substrates to prepare an article of manufacture or be in the form of detergent compatible particles, for use with conventional laundry detergents.

摘要： Fabric softening compositions, preferably in liquid form, for use in the rinse cycle of home laundry operations are improved by: (a) using certain protected water sensitive materials, especially particulate complexes of cyclodextrins and perfumes, which are protected in fabric softening compositions and/or detergent compositions, by e.g., imbedding said particulate complex in relatively high melting protective material that is substantially water-insoluble and, preferably, non-water-swellable and is solid at normal storage conditions, but which melts at the temperatures encountered in automatic fabric dryers (laundry dryers); (b) using soil release polymers to help suspend water-insoluble particles in aqueous fabric softening compositions; and/or (c) preparing the said protected particulate water sensitive materials (complexes) by melting the said high melting materials, dispersing the said particulate complexes, or other water sensitive material, in the molten high melting protective material and dispersing the resulting molten mixture in aqueous media, especially surfactant solution or aqueous fabric softener composition, and cooling to form small, smooth, spherical particles of the particulate complexes, or other water sensitive material, substantially protected by the high melting material.

The compositions comprise an effective amount of fabric improving active, selected from the group consisting of oligosaccharides, preferably mixtures of oligosaccharides, especially, isomaltooligosaccharides, their individual components, substituted versions of said mixtures and/or components, derivatised versions of said mixtures and/or components, and mixtures thereof. Optionally, the composition can contain other ingredients to improve performance and formulatability. The compositions can be applied to fabric by spraying, soaking, dipping, and can also be used for pre-wash treatment, adding to the wash cycle, adding to the rinse cycle, and/or adding to the drying cycle. Preferably the compositions are applied as small particle size droplets, especially from spray containers which preferably are in association with instructions for use.

摘要： Stable, aqueous wrinkle controlling and, optionally, odor-absorbing, compositions, and/or static reducing preferably for use on fabric; articles containing said compositions, and methods of use. The composition comprises fabric lubricant, shape retention polymer, lithium salt, and/or plasticizers for wrinkle control and, optionally, from about 0.1 % to about 20 %, by weight of the composition, of solubilized, water-soluble, uncomplexed cyclodextrin. Optionally, the composition can contain additional ingredients including low molecular weight polyols; metallic salts to help control odor, ionic and nonionic surfactants to improve performance and formulatability, a humectant, etc. the composition is essentially free of any material that would soil or stain fabric. The composition is preferably applied as small particle size droplets, especially from spray containers.
