摘要： The present invention relates to disposable thermal packs comprising a unified structure having at least one continuous layer of a semirigid material which softens when heated. The thermal packs also comprise a plurality of individual heat cells, which typically comprise an exothermic composition, spaced apart and fixed throughout the unified structure. The material of the continuous layer or layers provide sufficient rigidity to maintain structural support of the heat cells, to prevent unacceptable stretching of structures of the continuous layer or layers during processing or use of the thermal packs, and to deter easy access to heat cell contents, while also providing good overall drape characteristics when heated. The thermal packs, when incorporated into body wraps, pads, and the like, provide efficient and effective heat coverage by having excellent conformity with various body forms.

The disposable thermal pad also comprises means for releasably attaching the thermal pad to an inside portion of a user's clothing. The elastic back wrap has a means for increasing friction between the piece of web and a user's body in order to reduce slippage of the wrap during use. The means for increasing friction may include a foam strip attached transverse to the longitudinal axis of the piece of web on the body-facing side thereof.

摘要： A fluid pervious web comprised of a nonwoven material for use as a topsheet (28) on an absorbent article (20) is disclosed. The nonwoven web has a patterned network of pigmented fluid impervious areas (36) thereon. Fluid deposited on the wearer-contacting surface (28A) of the web is moved laterally away from the pigmented fluid impervious areas (36) and transported through the fluid pervious portions of the web. Thus leaving the pigmented fluid impervious areas of the web clean and dry. This structure provides a topsheet (28) that is tactilely perceived as soft prior to the discharge of bodily fluids thereon and also clean and dry after bodily fluids have been deposited thereon.
