The aft cowl (36) has a forward face (42) and the forward cowl (34) has an aft face (40) adjoining each other to define a reverser nozzle (44) which converges radially outwardly. The aft cowl (36) is translatable between a stowed position in which the reverser nozzle is closed and a deployed position in which the reverser nozzle is open for discharging fan air in a forward direction for thrust reversal.

摘要： A hinge arm (18) for a thrust reverser door (16) may be mounted to an exhaust nozzle (14) using an aft mount (20). The mount includes a frame (24) for attachment to the nozzle. A swing link (26) has a first pin (26a) pivotally joined to the frame, and a second pin (26b) for pivotally joining the hinge arm to the link to permit both swinging and pivoting of the hinge arm from the frame. The aft mount thusly permits the reverser doors to be reliably stowed around the nozzle.
