摘要： A series of polyoxyalkylene diamines modified with phenoxy groups is disclosed. This series of diamines is of the general formula:
wherein R₁ and R₂ are independently hydrogen or an alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R₃ is a alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, Ph is phenyl, x ranges from 2 to 40, y ranges from 1 to 20 and z ranges from 1 to 40. These diamines are cured with liquid epoxy resins. The cured resins demonstrated improved tensile strength and modulus, elongation and flexural strength and modulus over a commercially used curative. The diamines are also useful in RIM elastomers, in polyamides and as chain extenders in polyurethane foams.

摘要： Nitriles and primary amines are produced by a vapour phase reaction involving the reductive amination of a primary alcohol with ammonia and hydrogen in the presence of a copper chromite dehydrogenation catalyst. The nitriles produced are readily convertible to the same corresponding primary amines. The reaction may be conducted at a temperature of 240 to 320°C which is substantially lower than the temperatures used in other methods used to make nitriles. Conversions of the alcohols are 95% higher. and selectivities to the combined primary amines and nitriles are higher than other methods.

摘要： A novel gasoline-soluble reaction product, a concentrate comprising the reaction product dissolved in a hydrocarbon solvent, and a haze-free, deposit resistant and ORI-inhibited motor fuel composition comprising the reaction product is described. The reaction product is obtained by reacting a dibasic acid anhydride, a novel diamine containing block copolymers with polyoxyalkylene backbones, and a hydrocarbyl polyamine. Motor fuel compositions containing the reaction product additive of the instant invention are haze-free and show improved deposit-resistance and ORI control in comparison with motor fuels without the reaction product. Motor fuel compositions of the instant invention may optionally comprise a polyolefin polymer/copolymer component having a molecular weight range of about 500-3500.
