摘要： A rotor assembly cooling system (100) and method of using same are provided. A portion of the rotor shaft (103) is hollow, the rotor shaft including an open end (107) and a closed end (105). A coolant feed tube (109) is rigidly attached to the rotor shaft (103) using one or more support members (111), thus causing the shaft and the feed tube to rotate at the same rate. Coolant is pumped through the feed tube until it exits the end of the feed tube and flows against the inside surface of the closed end of the rotor shaft causing the coolant to change direction and flow back through the coolant flow region, this region being defined as the space between the outer surface of the feed tube and the inner surface of the hollow rotor shaft.

摘要： A battery pack heat exchanger, system, and method comprises a plurality of battery modules comprising a heat exchanger having an outer shell and a plurality of cylinders extending within the outer shell. A plurality of battery cells are positioned within the plurality of cylinders and a coolant is poured into the shell via a fill port. As a result, the coolant is able to absorb and dissipate localized heat produced by the battery cells throughout the heat exchanger. Therefore, if one battery cell undergoes a thermal run-away, the heat will be distributed throughout the shell volume thereby greatly reducing the likelihood that battery cells directly adjacent the run-away cell absorb the brunt of the heat and undergo thermal run-away themselves.

摘要： A bifurcated bracket (12) carries two powder dispensing assemblies (B). Each assembly includes a powder reservoir (20) and a rotatable screw (64) received within a compliant silicone sleeve (74). The outer diameter of the screw is slightly larger than the inner diameter of the sleeve such that the screw blade maintains direct contact with the sleeve wall as the screw is rotated. The bracket is sequentially moved to align each assembly with containers in two arrays. Each array of containers is situated in a tray. The trays are manually positioned on independent scales which generate signals that are a function of the sensed weight of each array. To fill each container, the screw in the aligned assembly is rotated at a high rate for an initial period and then at a slower rate. The scales are operational only during the slower rate period. Assembly movement and screw rotation are computer controlled.
