    • A method and apparatus for fast FFT processing of paging information in a user equipment (UE). The apparatus comprises a front end receiver (201), an optional analog filter (202) and an analog to digital (A/D) converter (203). A first digital filter, a buffer (206) and an FFT N processor having N stages (212) are coupled to a first branch of the output of the A/D converter (203). The first digital filter (204) has a predetermined bandwidth (BW A ). An optional digital mixer (208) is switchably coupled to a second branch of the output of the A/D converter (203) for digitally down converting the second branch to the center frequency of a paging information (fp) within the baseband signal.     • Sensing wireless transmissions from a licensed user of a licensed spectral resource includes obtaining information indicating a number of adjacent sensors that are concurrently sensing wireless transmissions from the licensed user of the licensed spectral resource. Such information can be obtained from a main node controlling the sensor and its adjacent sensors, or by the sensor itself (e.g., by means of short-range communication equipment targeting any such adjacent sensors). A sensing rate is then determined as a function, at least in part, of the information indicating the number of adjacent sensors that are concurrently sensing wireless transmissions from the licensed user of the licensed spectral resource. Receiver equipment is then periodically operated at the determined sensing rate, wherein the receiver equipment is configured to detect wireless transmissions from the licensed user of the licensed spectral resource.

The wake-up signal is then constructed based on a sequence of symbols of the selected group. The sequences of symbols of the collection may be of different lengths and the selected group may comprise sequences of symbols of different lengths. In such embodiments, the step of dividing the collection of sequences into a plurality of groups may comprise letting a first sequence and a second sequence (wherein the first sequence has a shorter length than the second sequence) belong to a same group if the first sequence and any part of the second sequence (wherein the part has the same length as the first sequence) differ in less than a number of positions.
