摘要： A method is provided for use by a first node (10) in a subscribe/ notify procedure of a telecommunications network. The method comprises sending (S1) a bulk subscription message (SIP SUBSCRIBE) indicating that the first node (10) wishes to subscribe to event update notifications relating to at least one type of event for plurality of remote nodes (50) of the network. In response to receipt of the subscription message at a second node (20) of the network, the second node (20) is caused to send (S4) future event update notifications (SIP NOTIFY) to the first node (10) if they relate to the at least one type of event. In the implementation shown in the abstract figure, event update notifications are only sent (S4) for those remotes nodes (50) having a predetermined association with the first node (10). A corresponding method is also providedfor use by the second node (20). The event may relate to a remote note sending a SIP REGISTER message to an S-CSCF node in an IMS.

摘要： A method is provided for use in a push to talk type service, in which a floor is required for a terminal to distribute media content to another terminal participating in a push to talk type session. In one aspect of the method, a single floor request message is sent (1) from PoC Client A to PoC Server S. The single floor request message relates to at least two different types of media content. The floor request message indicates, for at least one of the media types, how and/or the extent to which the allowance or denial of the request relating to that media type should affect and/or depend upon the request relating to at least one other media type. For example, the floor request message may indicate, for at least one of the media types, that if the request relating to that media type is denied then the request relating to any other media type should also be denied, i.e. that that media type is required. The floor request message may also indicate, for at least one of the media types, that the allowance or denial of the request relating to that media type should not affect the allowance or denial of the request relating to any other media type, i.e. that that media type is optional. Other conditions and relationships between the various media types in the request message can also be expressed. In another aspect, a plurality of floor request messages can be used, and treated together. The push to talk type service may be a push to talk over cellular service (PoC). The push to talk type service may be a conferencing service.
