    • For some mobile communication services, a media stream such as video, will be combined with another media stream such as voice. For example, a user of a first terminal (101) is involved in a voice call over e.g. a circuit switched network (103) with a friend. During the voice call, the user of the first terminal decides to start transmitting another media stream, such as live streamed video, which may be transmitted over a packet switched network (104), to the friend's terminal (102). In such a case there is problem in that the two media streams voice and video may have quite different end-to-end time delays, i.e. the time from a part of the media stream is transmitted from the first user's terminal (101) until that part of the media stream is presented at the friend's terminal (102). Since comments from the first user will be presented to the user's friend earlier than the commented part of the video this will be quite annoying to the friend. To avoid this problem this invention presents the video to the user of the first terminal (101) delayed with a time dependent on the time difference between the end-to-end time delay of video and the end-to-end time delay of voice. Thereby, comments from the user of the first terminal (101) regarding the video will be received at the friend's terminal (102) approximately synchronized with the video.

    • A radio network controller is operable in both a unicast signaling mode and a bi- cast signaling mode. In unicast signaling mode, the radio network controller is operable to send radio resource control signals to a mobile station through a serving cell. The radio network controller is operable to go into bi-cast signaling mode during a hard handover. In the bi-cast signaling mode, the radio network controller is operable to send radio resource control messages to the mobile station through both the current serving cell and a target cell. The mobile station is configured to listen to both the current serving cell and the target cell for radio resource control messages. User data, however, is transmitted only from the current serving cell to the mobile station.

    • An apparatus and method for providing rapid Talk Burst Control (TBC) for a Push To Talk over Cellular (PoC) Client engaged in a PoC communication with another PoC Client through a PoC Server (33). When a first PoC Client (31) completes a talk burst, the PoC Server (33) consults a communication pattern model (86) to predict which PoC Client is the predicted next talker. The PoC Server then sends a TB Pre-granted message (41) to the predicted next talker (32), pre-granting', permission to talk before the predicted next talker requests permission to talk. When the predicted next talker presses the push to talk (PTT) button on his Client handset, he immediately has the right to talk without any further signaling with the PoC Server. If an unpradicted user requests permission to talk, the pre-granted permission is revoked, and the unpredicted user is granted permission.
