摘要： Systems and methods related to core network and radio access network (RAN) interactions for a Multicast/Broadcast (MB) session are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method performed by an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) for a MB session join procedure comprises receiving a MB session join request from a User Equipment (UE) via a RAN node, the MB session join request being a request to join a particular MB session. The method further comprises determining that the MB session join request is permitted by a subscription of the UE, selecting a MB Session Management Function (MB-SMF) based on information comprised in the MB session join request, communicating with the MB-SMF to create a MB session context in the AMF and an MB session context in the MB-SMF, and sending a MB session join accept message to the UE.

摘要： The present invention proposes a solution for providing multicast/broadcast service to users roaming between different operational domains. In particular it is proposed to provide means enabling the user to contact a home multicast/broadcast server. Said means might be a request being triggered by the user. Said request includes a network identifier identifying the visited operational domain, which is provided to the multicast/broadcast server. The latter decides on a provision method for providing the at least one multicast/broadcast service to the user in the visited operational domain considering rules for a provision of multicast/broadcast services in the visited operational domain and the request triggered by the user. Further the multicast/broadcast server determines a second parameter set for accessing the at least one multicast/broadcast service in the visited operational domain according to the provision method and informs the user about the second parameter set.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for the redirection of a Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service (MBMS) session in a communication system comprising a plurality of node layers, wherein the MBMS session is redirected from one node to another node in the same node layer, such that the MBMS session is not aborted. The advantage of the invention is that an MBMS session can be redirected form one node to another node without aborting the MBMS session and thus there is no need to initialise a new MBMS session when a node in a communication system fails.

In some embodiments, a method for performing a mobility transfer from a Fifth Generation (5G) network to an Evolved Packet System (EPS) network includes a 5G network node: receiving, from an EPS network node, a context request for context associated with a User Equipment (UE); determining data forwarding information associated with the UE; and sending, to the EPS network node, a context response comprising context information associated with the UE and data forwarding information associated with the UE.
