摘要： Systems and methods are disclosed for redundant Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session establishment. In one embodiment, a method performed by a network node for redundant PDU session establishment comprises providing, to a Wireless Communication Device (WCD), data indicative of instructions to the WCD to establish one or more redundant PDU sessions for one or more PDU sessions, wherein the one or more PDU sessions comprise: (a) one or more ongoing PDU sessions, (b) one or more future PDU sessions, or (c) both (a) and (b). In this manner, the need to configure the WCD with information for triggering redundant PDU sessions is avoided, which in turn reduces WCD complexity. Further, by allowing the network to control triggering of redundant PDU sessions, it is easier to change the use of redundancy mechanisms, e.g., based on need.

摘要： The present disclosure generally relates to packet processing by a network element that transfers first and second packet flows of the same traffic handling class (e.g., the Ethernet express traffic class). A method aspect performed by a network element comprises the step of receiving, from a network controller, information defining a relative forwarding order between first and second packet flow packets. Upon receipt, at at least one ingress port of the network element, of a first and a second packet, it may be determined that the first packet belongs to the first packet flow and the second packet to the second packet flow. The first and second packets will then be forwarded towards at least one egress port of the network element in an order defined by the information received from the network controller.
