    • A first radio base station (RBS) is operated to cause trace log information to be supplied to a trace log storage node. The RBS becomes responsible for serving a user equipment session, and at some point begins a trace process. When the session report criterion has been satisfied, a trace status indication is alternatively sent to or received from a second radio base station, the trace status indication including an indicator of a session report cause and a time of satisfying the session report criterion. The indicator of the session report cause and the time of satisfying the session report criterion are used to identify a set of trace log information stored in a record buffer. If not empty, the set of trace log information is supplied to the trace log storage node.

A low priority event may not be serious enough on its own to raise an alarm to a network management system (220, 420) managing the telecom node (210, 310). However, the low priority event can collectively have a serious impact on the network performance if the event occurs over multiple nodes (210, 310) of the network (200). When a low priority event occurs over multiple nodes (210, 310), the telecom node (210, 310) notifies the network management system (220, 420) of the event by raising an alarm so that the situation can be addressed. In a partitioned network installation, not all neighboring nodes (210, 310) are managed by a same network management system (220, 420). When the alarm is raised to the network management system (220, 420), other network management systems (220, 420) managing the neighboring nodes (210, 310) are notified of the alarm by the network management system (220, 420).

The base station (120) determines an integrity of the air interface (145) based on the response.
