    • PURPOSE:To facilitate assembling and adjustment, by providing a correction value setting means correcting the mounting position error of a paper-end sensor and operating the distance required to transfer paper to a printing start position after the front edge has been detected on the basis of the correction value and controlling a transfer motor according to the operation result. CONSTITUTION:When the actual mounting position of a paper-end sensor 15 is shown by a solid line and the original mounting position is shown by a dotted line, an error (y) is generated with respect to the transfer direction shown by an arrow of paper 22. Therefore, if the paper 22 is transferred by a transfer distance X after the actual detection of the front edge 22a thereof by the paper end sensor 15, an error (y) is also generated between the front edge 22a after transfer and the original similar front edge 22b. Therefore, the paper 22 is supplied at first and test printing is performed to measure the interval (l) between the front edge 22a and a printing start position 21 and the error (y) is calculated from the difference between said interval (l) and the original interval L and the value thereof is set to a correction value setting means EST33. The transfer distance X after correction is calculated corresponding to the correction value (y) according to formula X=x+(-y) and, if the paper is transferred by the transfer distance X, the mount error (y) is corrected.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the impression obstacle of a recording medium, by pivotally supporting a card holder in a freely revolvable and freely up-and-down movable manner by a shaft and a bearing part pivotally supporting said shaft and long in the longitudinal direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:A slot 30 is formed to the upper end part of the vertical part 6A of a card holder 6 as a bearing part long in the longitudinal direction thereof and both ends of the shaft inserted through said slot 30 are privotally supported by brackets 32 to pivotally support the card holder 6 not only in a freely revolvable manner in a forward and backward direction but also in a freely up-and- down movable manner and, further, a revolving habit in a direction allowing a horizontal part 6B to contact with a printing head 5 is imparted to the holder 6 by a spring 34. Because the card holder 6 is freely revolved and, at the same time, can fall vertically by the slot 30 and a bracket 35, the entire under surface of the horizontal part 6B can be closely contacted with a recording medium 4 at the mounting time of an ink ribbon 9. Therefore, only the under surface of the front end part of the horizontal part 6B is not strongly pressed to the recording medium 4 and the generation of an impression obstacle can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate assembling and adjustment, by providing a correction value setting means for correcting the printing position error corresponding to a printing direction and a means for operating the delay time from the start of relative movement to the start of printing on the basis of the correction value to set the same to a timer. CONSTITUTION:A printing head (PHD)14 reciprocatingly moves according to the positive/reverse rotation of a motor 27 and driven at every movement in both directions to perform printing from both directions on every line. Now, when the moving reference point of PHD14 is set to P0, the left end of the first character 35 of printing in an R-direction to P1, the left end of the final character 36 of printing in an L- direction to P2 and the reference distance between the points P0 and P2 to T, an error (y) is generated between the points P1 and P2. Therefore, if the left ends of the characters 35, 36 are set to T+y(1/2) as the distance from the point P0, the left ends of the characters 35, 36 coincide. Therefore, if the delay time before PHD14 is moved over the distance T+y(1/2) is determined corresponding to the error (y) after the motor was started at the point P1 in left and right sides and this correction value is set to an EST setting device 43, the error of a printing position in each direction comes to zero.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate assembling and adjustment, by measuring the transfer distance of paper from the point of time when the rear edge of paper was detected by a paper end sensor and calculating the rear edge position of the paper by the operation based on the measured value and the correction value of the mounting position error of the paper end sensor to control printing. CONSTITUTION:The actual position of a paper end sensor 5 is shown by a solid line and the original position thereof is shown by a dotted line. Whereupon, an error (y) is already generated with respect to the transfer of paper 22 in the direction shown by an arrow and, when it is assumed that the paper is transferred over a distance (z) after the rear edge 22a thereof was detected, the error (y) is also generated between the rear edge 22a after transfer and the original similar rear edge 22b. Therefore, a correction value is determined corresponding to the error (y) in this case and the transfer distance Z after correction is calculated by the operation of Z=z+(-y). If the transfer over the transfer distance Z is performed after the rear edge 22a was detected by the paper end sensor 15, the correction of the mount error (y) is performed. As a result, if the correction value is set by a digital switch, the mounting position error of the paper end sensor 15 can be corrected electrically.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a printed paper to be discharged at high speed, by providing a paper guide for readjusting a slip form paper to a specified part of a paper-feeding passage, a shape sensor for detecting the paper, and a controlling part for rotating a feeding motor at high speed. CONSTITUTION:A paper guide 21 is provided on a base plate 2 on the user's side of a supplying port 1, whereby a feeding passage for a slip form paper 22 is readjusted as a specific part of a paper-feeding passage. A paper feed sensor 3 and shape sensor 15b are provided as a part through which the slip form paper 22 is not passed but at least a part of a continuous form paper is continuously passed. When the sensor 15b generates a detection output, it is decided that the continuous form paper is being used, whereas when such as output is not generated, it is decided that the slip form paper 22 is being used. A circuit for decision and control comprises a main controlling part (MCT) 31, which comprises a microprocessor (CPU) and memories or the like, and a small-scale sub-controlling part (SCT) 32. The SCT 32 drives a feeding motor (LFM) 4 consisting of a stepping motor through a driving circuit (DRV) 33. Accordingly, when the sensor 15b does not generate the detection output and it is judged that the slip form paper is being used in a non-printing state after completion of printing, the paper is discharged at high speed.
